My sides...[/QUOTE] I became the last one alive earlier on Westlondon I'm an L4 sharpshooter, but there were a few level 5 and 6's, and I had been doing pretty meh-ish for the whole round so I could feel them doubting me through the screen because of my technowizardry robe I picked up at a garage sale. I had been carrying an M79 and an M14, somehow I took out 3 fleshpounds alone. Sorry to hijack, but it feels good dude :smile:

I leveled up my medic perk mostly by healing lockheart in KFO-Steamland.

Edit: Also, in the last round I played before going to sleep I managed to kill a 6 player patriarch with a headshot from the 9mm Tactical. It felt good because it was my only weapon and everyone else had died.

imagine if Killing Floor 2 is as focused on realism as RO2, aside from the mutants part

Augh, why is it that every server I join is super laggy? In the server browser they're listed at like 40-50 ping but once I get in I jump to over 100 and warp all over the place.
You know the message that pops up when you press "Exit game"? I was a little spooked when I first saw that.
I've probably already said this but I really hope they update the perk system for KF2 to be more dynamic. Like how often have you seen Commandos popping off head shots with their weapons in single-fire mode? Wouldn't it make more sense for those kills to contribute to Sharpshooter? Wouldn't it make way more sense for more things like that to be implemented?

Single-fire headshots reward Sharpshooter XP, killing cloaked stalkers with non-explosive weapons before they unstealth the first time rewards Commando XP, etc.. It'd have to be tiny amounts of XP though, the big stuff should come from using the perk's weapons.
A Crawler just fucked up and went neutral on me. He started following me across the map without attacking me, and he was invulnerable to gunfire. Right at the moment I was gonna take a screenshot of it some Demo with a six shot nade launcher blew it up. He wasn't even the last zed in the wave :(

Is it me or did KF originally aim to be survival horror? It says so on the boot up launcher thing, although I always missed that little subtitle. Quite frankly, this game could be spooky with dimmer lightning, less british voices and less extremely loud noise/metal music. KF Mod was fucking terrifying though.
I think KF was 'doomed' to be a grizzly but ultimately comedic game the moment the characters were given the most British voices known to man. :v:
I think they've been trying to make it more humorous, even from the start of the retail game. The wacky British voices and how silly the Patty is show they wanted humor in the game, but it seems the art team didn't get the message at the time. They've done a better job at making the humor more prominent with the seasonal enemy models, new player models and the new weapons, but the original enemy models and early official levels stick out like sore thumbs when mixed with the light-hearted weapons and player models released over the past two or so years. Shit, you could probably argue that KF was slowly going lighter at the tail end of the mod version. The original Patty (that was never officially released but came back in a fan patch) looked like an evil and naked (complete with pubes!) unicorn man and said the same silly things that the retail one does. Everything else was supposed to be serious, except for maybe the 2.5 Scrake's lines.
The KF mod reminded me of silent hill with the rusty textures and twitchy animations. You also seemed to run a lot slower in the mod, it really felt like a survival horror. I'd like to play KFmod, but I'm too poor to actually buy UT 2004. I wanna feel the spooks. This is one of the best games in this generation, as far as my opinion goes. It runs on pretty much anything, has some decent graphics for a 2004 engine, great soundtrack and the weapon models are fucking amazing. Also bump.
The amount of ammo the Rising Storm Thompson has is absolutely nuts.
What would you expect from a Thompson with a drum mag?
I don't know, not one that appears to be objectively better than the regular for nearly the same price.
