New guns AND new DLC? More like new DLC period. I also don't like the idea that Tripwire are paying the community to fuck up the game's tone even more with their homemade-ish weapons that would fit better in TF2 than in KF. No complaints about the new trader menu, though.

Ahahah oh my god, the camo pack is $8 for four poorly reskinned guns, they're not even golden-quality, it's just a generic camouflage slapped onto the majority of the weapon. This is pathetic.
I have to wonder which one of those weapons will be the new "key" to the perk. The first pack took my Zerker from "[I]Super Awesome Solo Machine[/I]" to "[I]The Team Is Just To Increase My Spawns To Slaughter[/I]" with the Buzzsaw.
Time to wait for another Humble Bundle and snag this bullshit for $1 again.

I still stand by my opinion that the Buzzsaw and the Flare pistols openly make that perk-user better.

Let's be fair guys, Tripwire have been awesome with Killing Floor over the years, all character skins are cosmetics, they still release nice updates for free (like the Hillbilly/Christmas) and they generally look after their game years after release. (I'm looking at you L4D)
KF could have been abandoned by the devs at this point, but they still churn stuff out for it. I don't mind paying a little extra, it's hardly Call of Duty map pack prices.
This really shouldn't have come out in class, I stopped paying attention due to the sheer underwhelming feelings towards this event. I think I need to reward Tripwire somehow, this is a new record for me.

Buzzsaw Bow is pretty overrated though. Yes, it is strong and can kill Scrakes from a real long range, and the ammo is retrievable, but good luck recovering those in a map that isn't entirely indoors! That leaves you with 16 saws as ammunition, and they are pretty expensive too.
The Flare Pistols, now that is one of the handiest weapons in the game, even offperk.
Being able to lighten up every zed as every perk is really handy, it has quite the punch, weights just 2 blocks, and the dualies can get you out of a jam of zeds pretty quickly, or at least, before you have to reload. Best weapon of the first pack in my opinion.

Yes but the dlc weapon packs and skins are FUCKING INSANE. All weapon dlc and future ones should be 3 $ tops and the character dlc the same for premuim or 4 $.
So, they didn't add a new dlc character for this event? Shame on you Tripwire because I loved to do achievements for these events, was fun but now I have no purpose for doing them.

Last christmas had no unlockable character also for the past 2 years and hopefully this christmas we do and wished halloween got one because the ach's have no purpose to me.

It's not that they're not supporting it, it's that they're locking new playstyles and blatantly superior weapons behind a paywall like a Korean MMOFPS

Also, it's not like they didn't make money off of the previous events, the old $1/$2 character packs sold like fucking crazy. Something they openly spoke about being like, the best idea they ever had, never selling anything other than skins. I can clearly remember going "I'm going to buy these to support Tripwire" as my justification for them. Then the first weapon DLC came out and I was upset, but there was still free content besides it, unlockable characters, even an unlockable gun or two, with another free couple thrown in. But it got compounded with 'premium' characters being literally o different other than Ash, who had a higher price tag because of her voice.
Which was the argument they used when Mrs. Foster came out, despite giving away a [I]free female character in that update.[/I]

For this update, I'd have to agree. For the previous weapons update that we paid for...eeeeeeh.
The StG44 and Tommygun didn't really change anything for Commando.

Also I'm not remember this 1 dollar days for four characters.
It was like that up until Harold Lott. It sorta fluctuated between $1 and $2, it's why there is a huge amount of inaccessible characters for people who own the regular, but they were all unique and interesting characters, distinct from the police officers and soldiers in the default game.
I was fine when it was a couple new weapons + a paid pack or reskin pack.
My mind, what. This will be on sale in two months for the Christmas update anyway.
