This new DLC is incredibly expensive.
At least with the previous updates, there was something outside of DLC and a map added in the update.
I'm abit confused. Do support special bonuses affect the trench gun?
Ay, anyone up for gasmasking? [sp]aka playing some killing floor[/sp]
I'm abit confused. Do support special bonuses affect the trench gun?
Yes, but the damage dealt with it will be added to the Firebug perk, if I remember correctly.
Yes, but the damage dealt with it will be added to the Firebug perk, if I remember correctly.
welp, i know what im doing now
welp, i know what im doing now
Me too.
I should probably also do that more often with my support having maybe 16 million damage done and barely am halfway from lvl 3 to 4 as firebug :v:
Looks like they still haven't fixed the perks not even fucking leveling up on mac.
I noticed they mentioned that you can buy the Potato in KF-Aperture again in the same breath as the Commando Chicken/Grim Reaper skins. Is it limited to this Halloween or is it just available to buy any time now?
is it just me or is there no'one playing at all?
is it just me or is there no'one playing at all?
Everyone plays fright yard
is it just me or is there no'one playing at all?
There's too many people playing for me. Can barely get into a server.
that feel when playing with dickheads who don't know you can heal other players [editline]25th October 2013[/editline] jesus fucking christ the game just decides to spawn the patriarch right next to everyone, and some guy gets killed before the cutscene thing even ends
jesus fucking christ the game just decides to spawn the patriarch right next to everyone, and some guy gets killed before the cutscene thing even ends
Every time he's ever spawned near someone the cutscene always plays longer for me. It's always enough time for him to get a chain gun or rocket attack off. It's really bullshit.
the crawlers aren't that bad...
Mmm Tripwires cock is delicious! [sp]the new event is fucking horrible[/sp]
Don't sound too surprised, the TW forums have always been loaded to the brim with cock mongling fanboys. I bought most of the character DLC, I bought the first weapons pack (even though I felt it was kind of bullshit), and I bought all of that shit for my friends too. I bought RO1, RO2, AND RS, and though I've felt like they were kind of misguided at times I've supported KF as well. That's why I like to think I am entitled to say this latest set is bullshit. I always bought the stuff because of how much TW gave us for free. Now they want me to pay $8 for weapons? They promised we would never have to pay for things that affect gameplay, and yet here it is right in front of us: guns that cost money. Also all those retards saying "free code fixes". I'm sorry, you're telling me I should consider myself lucky that they actually get around to fixing their fucking game and not leaving it a broken pile of shit? When did we go from expecting games to work to hoping games work? I sure as hell never agreed to this change. Fucking TW fanboys.
They only -sorta- fixed the server browser anyways. It went from broken to sorta less broken.
I'll be honest, it's been funny to watch Zeos slowly break down over these 48 hours.
I'm dying.
I bought the weapon pack. The vomit launcher is pretty hilarious when used with bloats around, its a good way of distracting zeds if no one else wants to deal with them. That being said you could always get someone with an aa12 so no one has to deal with them ever again.
Y'know looking at the weapon DLC, I guess we got what we wanted in that it's a new Medic weapon that's not an SMG. But I was honestly hoping for something a little more... useful? I really liked the idea of the shotgun. I would've been okay if it was just a shotgun with a normal needle launch, although a spray of needles would've been nicer. [editline]25th October 2013[/editline] Oh, also I was really hoping they weren't going to charge $2 per weapon for 4 weapons again. I was also hoping for that.
Tripwire bundle for 10$. Never gave them more than that.
I dunno this update seems alri- NAH ITS SHIT. - A conversation between any two in this thread.
Also all those retards saying "free code fixes". A game shouldn't be full of bugs, and we shouldn't be grateful that the developers 'get around to it', and fix it eventually. This is the way it is supposed to go: if you are expected to pay for a game, then the developers are expected to release a working title. But with the advent of the '~pre-order and access beta for free!!~ model, we have come to a point where we are paying for a bad, broken, and incomplete version of a game with the 'expectation' that it will be what it is supposed to be, come time for release. Sure I will feel glad and relieved to know that those bugs that have bothered me for so long has finally been fixed. No I will not be 'grateful' because the developers happen to release a correction to their code, rather than not going to. In fact, if I were to know that they weren't going to produce future 'free code fixes', I'd be far from being in 'grateful' territory, and more in the 'no way I'm falling for this again' territory, where I don't buy any future games. To be fair to tripwire, the size of their games are fairly large and complex (and fun), and I do not really know how big their development or QA team is. On the other hand, these are the guys that had to release a trailer with the message being: "Hey! We fixed the game! Come back!". So I think these guys still have to get their priorities straight.

I was skeptical about its usefulness in-game but the chance to block entire hallways with clots and cover escapes with a Left 4 Dead-esque Bloat pipe bomb comes in handy much more often than I thought. The new Z.E.D gun is a beautiful piece of off-perk goodness for medics too. The alt-fire is much easier to slow and aim with even if the ammo cost is up there.
Any improvements with the ZED v2?
Any improvements with the ZED v2?
It has a faster firing speed with a magazine size of 30. You can use half the magazine to shoot a large projectile that explodes in a large bubble on contact. Everything in the splash gets debuffed. It's also quite a bit cheaper and two blocks lighter than the normal ZED gun with lower recoil and what feels like slightly higher damage. The reload speed is also faster and the sights are glorious. The radar is gone but it gives off an audible beep when larger stuff like Scrakes or Fleshies get near. The beep gets faster as things get closer. Overall I'd say it's a lot more viable as a weapon, especially since the alt-fire instantly slows things rather than having to hold a beam on them. This means you can piss off a scrake, swap to ZED MK. II, put an alt fire in him and finish him off effectively negating his rage point.
How long is the reload time? Also, 30 is pretty small compared to 100, did the alt-fire used up the entire magazine?
How long is the reload time? Also, 30 is pretty small compared to 100, did the alt-fire used up the entire magazine?
Reload is maybe 1.5 to 2 seconds and it costs 15 ammo to use the alt-fire so you can do it twice with one mag. You get 8 magazines including the one in the gun when you buy it. Ammo is also extremely cheap costing 120 to completely fill the MK. II compared to the ZED guns 400.
