Finally got the last of the Hell on Earth maps on solo. AA12 + Hunting Shotgun + Pipebombs done the trick with the Patriarch while Bezerker with Katana and Axe cleared the waves. During the final boss fight the Patriarch got stuck to a door while invisible so I was waiting for him for about ten minutes without realising he was in my field of view the whole time. I finally got 100% completion (until the next event) in what has to be my number one favourite game!
I can't hit shit even with handcannon alone
It's all about that MK23.
I've somehow mastered headshots with duel pistols.
I've somehow mastered headshots with duel pistols.
It's just the game's way of giving you a false sense of security.
What is that zed supposed to be?
What is that zed supposed to be?
None of them really, as the drawing is about not getting headshots at all when you need them.
Personally, I can't hit shit with akimbo handcannons.

I can't hit shit even with handcannon alone
git gud dual pistols are easy as balls to get headshots with, it's like a single pistol ... but double!
Once you are able to place where the center of the screen is, you can get headshots consistently with just about any weapon without the help of ironsights.
I can't aim jack shit with dual unless is this baby http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=127242610&searchtext=
I've played the game so long that I'm better at getting headshots with older weapons, like the bullpup, 'cause I've gotten accustomed to the model's position in relation to the middle of the screen.

I can headshot all day long with the LAR and dual handcannons, but the SPLM is difficult for me to be effective with, despite arguably being a better weapon.
I've been playing this game for years and the hitboxes still piss me off.
Tried soloing the bedlam achievement and got royally fucked on the 10th wave :(
The only dualies I use anymore are the flare revolvers. They're surprisingly effective for crowd control and especially for taking out scrakes. If you unload in a scrake's face at point blank you'll flinch-lock him and he won't be able to hit you. Usually I'll chip his health away with the trenchgun until he rages and then switch to the flareguns and wait 'til he gets in my face and then unload on him. On HoE 6 players it takes roughly 5 trenchgun shots to rage a scrake and then you can finish it off with as little as 7 flaregun rounds to the face.
It's just the game's way of giving you a false sense of security.
You should always be going for headshots.
You should always be going for headshots.
Even Clots in a group chew through ammo if you aim just for the body.
So I was trying to get the Golden Potato achievement in single-player (I did it a long time ago, only to realize it was unlockable only during the event), and I tought it was a good idea to become Support to unweld the door and leave a crawler instead of a clot so it couldn't grab me. The idea was to slowly unweld the door and heal myself when the crawler hit me, then run around and repeat. It was going slow as fuck and the little fucker was annoying as shit. I spent 10 seconds unwelding and then 30 seconds trying to get him to fall and leave me alone. And then this happened completely by accident: Fucking asshole got stuck on Glados and couldn't move, I'd already unlocked the door by the time I took the picture. Now I'm only missing the uber tuber achievement and I'm done with the event.
I got the Golden Potato easily, the last 2 zeds got stuck somewhere and I opened the door without any problem. From I saw many times, zeds gets normally stuck on that map.
Golden potato is easy to get. Uber Tuber I've found impossible unless you have a group willing to help you. Unfortunately none of my friends are up for KF, so I guess I'm not getting it any time soon.

After 3 waves of 800 enemies you will have enough money to buy the potato.

I wanted to do it legit but no one seems to care about the achievement. At least I didn't play in a perk map.
Is easy, just takes time. I'm away from my gaming rig, (building a new one). Did the last update fix the bug where it won't allow you to pick up a second pistol if you already had one? I could pick up 9mms but if I tried to pick up a second pistol of any kind, even throwing them to other players, I would just get the "You already have this weapon" thing.

AKA every KF video ever.
I did it with some friends on mountain pass with the strategy of being everybody medic (go to the tallest hill near of the trader and jump, heal that player to get money, and repeat). That day was perfect, because I also got on those three hours (three players went afk around an hour) the LV6 of the medic perk, and the achievement of killing the patriarch when everybody is using the crossbow.

It'll be fun. I got that crossbow acheivment on solo. Its incredibly easy.

Is easy to do with any perk, just make sure they are on lvl 5 or 6. And holy guacamole, akimbo isn't that bad guys, come on

Does the game still freak out if you install custom player textures?
