also that victorian map in ur post, dear god unless d mapper is dead there is literally no reason y its not ported 2 kf
Actually, looking at all his other stuff, someone should just port all of it because they would all make amazing maps. Someone already ported Helms Deep so why not more?
The current Humble Weekly Sale includes Dwarfs!?, Killing Floor, and Rising Storm. You only get RS if you pay $6 or more. Even if you're just after the RS characters for KF, it's a damn good deal.

Thanks for the tip.
there is literally no reason y its not ported 2 kf
Ported UT2k3/4 maps generally make for awful Killing Floor maps as their layouts are not conducive to KF's gameplay. UT maps typically have large, open arenas meant for medium to long range precision gun combat among lightning fast players blazing around with all sorts of double jumps and advanced movement techniques and so forth. KF's maps, however, rely on tighter, confined, close quarters combat as you're fighting shambling AI specimens who are only really capable of clawing your face at arm's length. In a UT map, the lack of view obstructions means KF specimens are forced to spawn at far, out of the way areas and must slowly trek towards the players in fully exposed areas while awkwardly navigating jump pads and teleporters and so forth. The game basically becomes an effortless shooting range at that point, sort of like Mountain Pass.
If you really want to try some UT2k4 ports, you can check out the Workshop items by this guy. He also has some Serious Sam recreations which also don't play very well.
Why is it that some characters heads are twice as big as others?
Reggie and the fireman for example

Killing Floor doesn't recognize my extra mouse keys (Mouse3+Mouse4) or the scrolling. Any tips? Windows and all my other games work fine.

KF's engine is just not good enough, you'll have to do without it.

For me they work great
and I happen to have MX518 :v:
and the engine happens to be Unreal engine

UT2k4's maps would play a lot better if they did't have horrible player-to-level scale. The levels are so huge that you feel like a tiny ant in each one. Zeds would probably spawn in a lot more if you played UT99 maps because they have a reasonable scale, which gives the Zed spawners enough room to activate because not everything is 5 miles wide and long.
If that Blade Runner map was reworked a bit it would be a great eyecandy map for KF, but it'd need a lot of work.

I used to get this on startup and still do sometimes if I alt+tab. Launching in windowed mode fixed it for me.

No such luck. I'll keep playing with the settings and see what I get. All else fails I'll use AHK to bind the extra keys to F13+
[editline]
[/editline]
AHK was fairly painless, did the job nicely. Patriarch is on his way to heaven, all is right with the world.

Don't you have to buy the deluxe upgrade for the characters? Bought the bundle but didn't check if they gave me the characters.

I hope someone makes a mod port to pc, it looks cool
Tripwire can go fuck themselves with a steakknife.
Seriously, after how devoted of a fanbase they have the Killing Floor, they fuck off and make a new game for a shittily made, fad game-system?
Should've just made it on the goddamned Vita.
Fuck you Tripwire.
The guys who made Dwarfs, a Swedish group, made Calamity, not Tripwire.

Almost the same thing
The top down view has already been done in KF itself.

i thought that got canceled
oh well
wait, wasn't there a possibility of this receiving a pc port as well?
I wonder how sharpshooters work in calamity, since they rely on headshots so much.
So I just got this game, played it a bit on the free weeekend a while ago and it was fun. Any recommendations as to which class to pick as well as the maps?

It's best to pick the one you are good at or like playing as and practicing it. It never hurts trying out all the perks as each one is useful in their own way.

That mainly depends on your playstyle. For instance as a Commando you'd want to try and stay in one place and hold the line, where as a Berserker you'd be moving around a lot.
It also depends on his team, too. People don't need a team with 6 Sharpies.
It also depends on his team, too. People don't need a team with 6 Sharpies.
that would depend on if he was pubbin it up or playing with friends, and the difficulty as well.
