tripwire I will gladly pay $100 for KF2
I bought KF1 for 10 dollars and I've gotten 500 hours of gameplay out of it and I've enjoyed nearly every second
If KF2 is as good as KF1 I'll happily pay shitloads for it, they deserve every penny because it looks like they've fucking nailed everything and made it look beautiful in the process
Don't get ahead of yourself. How much did the game start at on release? 20 dollars? I've never seen a Tripwire game go past 40ish. They will probably sell the game at 29 dollars, and will hope to make money off of players with lots of DLC over time. Oh and a deluxe edition for 39 dollars.

You know, when games are genuinely good and purchased en-masse, they generate a LOT of revenue on the spot
I hope that, this time, the launch won't be as bad as RO2's
Awww, not set in the UK :(?
We got entire EU in this one. And seems like Paris is gonna be our new West London.

RO2 had a bad launch because Tripwire bit off more than they could chew and had to release earlier than intended due to pressure from private investors. They are funding KF2 themselves so it should launch in a better state but we will have to see.
I hope we keep the british voices.

Hopefully, it's optimized well.
Quotes that weren't included in PC Gamer's article:
John Gibson: "When we shipped Killing Floor, one of our goals was to go back to the fun a lot of us had had with games from the late 90s or even early 90s, games like Doom or Serious Sam, these not-super-serious games with just lots of enemies and really cool weapons and not overly complicated game mechanics. There were these types of games we felt just didn't exist anymore. So with Killing Floor we wanted to make something that feel like when we used to play those games in the 90s. But put a modern spin on it. It was funny when it came out, we were like we have this itch, maybe other people do. Millions of people bought it, so we were like okay, people do have this itch. We feel like it's still an underserved genre."
I believe I kinda addressed that second point about leveling in the feature (there are now 25 levels instead of 6), but here's more:
Bill Munk: "To hit level 6 in a perk was a really painful grind. The really hardcore people like that, they have a longterm thing to go for, but for everyone else it wasn't very enjoyable. You could go weeks and weeks, sometimes months without hitting a new level. We wanted to improve on that, you're leveling up while also having a longterm thing. In Killing Floor 1 we also had it so, say you picked the Commando perk and then used a Sharpshooter weapon, I'd level up Sharpshooter even though I wasn't using that perk. That's the same. We've kept that about it so we haven't removed the good things, just the bad things."
does this mean what i think it means
Quotes that weren't included in PC Gamer's article:
I really hated the level 6 grind. Sorry but some people just don't like to play the game that much(like me). It was a GREAT GAME but I would not grind level 6 for it.
does this mean what i think it means
You could be right, though it might just mean looking at the players as another player.
The only perk I got to 6 after hundreds of hours of Killing Floor is Medic because it was so straightforward to level and you could make good progress without even playing as it.
Support was 70% of my game time and it's no where near 6.
Levelling in KF1 requires constant dedication to it, you actively have to grind for it.

I'll also get around to revamping the OP when my finals are over.
It'll still be nice if people who have purchased KF1's cosmetic DLCs will get to transfer it into KF2.
Why do that when they could charge people for it? They already made the character packs $8.
My hype is pretty high right now.
Another unpublished quote:
Bill Munk: "We're known for really awesome gunplay. But our melee in Killing Floor, we're not really known for this really sick melee. But it was our goal to have something that could stand on its own, even if the game had no guns.
Melee combat was really weak in the first game. I was always disappointed with it, and it never felt like something that could stand on its own. It was always better to use guns. We put a lot of focus on making the melee combat something awesome. My hope is that everyone will want to have the backup melee weapons or play the melee style perks."

Bill Munk: "Generally games go two routes. They'll do a full animation of a death, which always looks really good but falls apart in some situations. If the guy's at the stairs, it won't look like he fell down the stairs. Or you have physics based, where it just looks like a limp noodle. Floppy. We basically took the best of both worlds and have an animation system that blends with the ragdoll. Each zed has 95 different death animations that have a random value and depends on where you hit them on their body. So there's a different set of animations if you shoot them in the stomach or the neck and get them to start convulsing. Or kill them from the leg. The different zones are head, neck, chest, stomach, each individual leg and arms. The animations blend from one to another."
Also this, US only I think.

I hope they don't do an osfront and kill the servers for KF when the new one comes out.

Getting firebug to level 6 was pretty easy, but also I pretty much decided to only play firebug with my group of friends.

Yes it is, and that's so dumb :(
So basically they did the same trick with the L4D2 death animation system?
Yes it is, and that's so dumb :(
I should be in the states when it releases v:v:v
So basically they did the same trick with the L4D2 death animation system?
Well, they would probably be doing the same thing they did in Rising Storm:

Yeah, after having the game for four and a half years only two of my perks are at six (without active grinding) being Medic and Sharpshooter, which are pretty much the easy ones. The rest are all halfway in between four and five. Maybe I should go back and finish off a few.
I'm glad they announced this though. I was wondering what they were going to do for the five year anniversary of retail release if anything. I have high hopes for Killing Floor 2. Reasonable, but high.
Where do they sell pc gamer mags ? I would like to get the issue for the skin and of course to read it, I think it costs 10 $ in store's ?
Alright guys, so I might've found something interesting.
I stumbled across this video, uploaded a few days ago:

It's this dude's only video, but I think the real interesting part is at the end, or the thumbnail if you're a bit lazy.
Whatever that thing is, does anyone else besides me thinks it looks like the new Clots, or maybe the new Cysts things?
[img_thumb]http://media.pcgamer.com/files/2014/05/killingfloor2-clots.jpg[/img_thumb]
Can't see shit in that video

Edit:
I hope they don't do an osfront and kill the servers for KF when the new one comes out.
DarkStar, I have it on good authority that TWI "didn't kill any servers" and that "the community abandoned RO 1 all on its own." There was another line I could have quoted there but I thought better of it.
Yes it is, and that's so dumb :(
Available in the UK too :v:
