Balls are basically like casino tokens, before you start playing you have buy a certain amount of balls and once you're done playing you can exchange your balls for different prices.

So technically it isn't gambling, but it's totally gambling.

Replace the word "balls" with "chips" and you've got gambling. Surely that isn't making pachinko a non-gambling activity.

I'm half tempted to double dip on V and grab it for ps3 on launch, get through the story, then wait to 100% complete it on pc later on. Not too efficient, but spoilers will be rampant at the start of September and I'd like to see it for myself.
