Please do. If it has optimised controls for the PSP that'd be fucking fantastic as well. Already beat MG1 on my PSP but this would be handy for starting MG2.
Alright here you go.

Strangely enough, I found this on an Earthbound forum. Turns out the guy who did this also did a similar collection for Earthbound on Wii.
Didn't expect to see that kind of thing on Starmen.net of all places. Guess I should lurk the non-gaming sub-forums there more often :V
Thanks for the link
getting more and more hyped. i can't wait to join you guys out at sea in the facepunch FOB group.
What is with all the batshit theories? Kojima has never actually pulled anything even half as complex as most of these theories, I think people are STILL paranoid about the bait and switch in MGS2.
Your emblem, shows up on vehicles, MB, your uniform, etc.
When you say this, do you mean a custom image like some random anime image?

It probably works the same was as CoD emblems where you use a pre-set images and layers to create something.
Fucking mech battles. Is there a quick way to do it? I heard that if you eliminated all the soldiers, commander pops out. But never for me. I have to damage the tank a lot before that happens, which leads to using up a ton of care packages, which leads to low heorism.
New avatar, what do you think?
Why is Photoshop adding borders when there is none
I'm not usually one for theories but here's a little something I thought of earlier: In Peace Walker [sp]the AIs have the same initials as The Patriots' own, except for JD. We also know Zero used Big Boss as a figurehead for The Patriots, so maybe he had JD (John Doe) created in the same fashion as The Boss' AI, an AI modelled on Big Boss that Zero could control. He left it with his own vision for the world, but given enough time what did it do? It carried out Big Boss' dream and created the war economy.
I basically came up with this to justify a robotic Kiefer Sutherland controlling the world from space.[/sp]

If you eliminate all the soldiers without alerting the vehicle the commander will pop out straight away but that's really difficult unless you have a co-op partner imo.

Alright, thank you.
Am I fucked for story comprehension if I just jump in and get the latest game without having touched any of the others and having seen < 1 hour combined of their gameplay/story?

huh.....yes. A lot. You really should start at the start, because the story is fucked up, but in a good way

Watch this series if you can't / don't want to play the games:

It outlines most of what you need to know for MGSV. You're still going to miss out in the finer details and references, but you should have a basic understanding of what is going on though.

MGS4 was my first MGS. Trust me when I say that you should play older ones first. They don't explain anything. It's just assumed that you know it all.
Well my first MGS was 3....and since it's the start of everything, it was a good starting point I guess.

Don't worry mine was 4
:suicide:
I was rewatching the intro to GZ and I was wondering what the significance of using the song Here's to You. Is Paz supposed to represent Nicola and Chico represent Bart or is it an allegory referring to Kaz and Ocelot?

Oh boy. You must have felt mindfucked by the end.

It was originally used in mgs4 as a reference to a cut ending [sp]where Snake And Ocelot were executed for war crimes much like Nicola and Bart[/sp]

Kinda disappointing if that is the case. Wouldn't mind seeing massive tits whenever I walked around Mother Base.

You missed being surprised how super serious ocelot was a goof in 1964.

You can. Just go find Quiet

Well the song is about Sacco and Vanzetti, for those that don't know, they were Italian born immigrants who were executed for murder. However, it was not conclusive that they comitted those murders and is commonly thought that they were executed only because they were Italian.
However, to me at least, what's really important about the two is their politics. According to wikipedia "Both adhered to a version of anarchism that combated war, violence and oppressive governments". (Sounds sorta similar to the dreams of a few characters)
As well, the lyrics go like this:
"Here's to you, Nicola and Bart
Rest forever here in our hearts
The last and final moment is yours
That agony is your triumph"
There's a couple ways we could look at it in the context of Ground Zeroes; Nicola and Bart being Zero, Nicola and Bart being Skullface, or Nicola and Bart being Big Boss and the MSF.
Rest forever here in our hearts could be talking about the slain MSF soldiers, though I'd find that doubtful if it was about Zero/Skullface.
Last and Final moment+That Agony are the destruction of Mother Base., and the triumph part if it's about Big Boss would be about pushing him to finally try to destroy Chipher. If it's about Zero or Skullface; it's more or less fairly obvious that the destruction of Mother Base is their triumph.
idk, I could be wrong but that's how I see it.
Also it was supposed to be the song in the credits in the original version of MGS4 where [sp]snake and otacon are executed for their terrorist activities with Philanthrophy[/sp].
Some amazing Phantom Pain posters and MGS cosplayers

Have these been around? I've never seen them before.
Who is up for making a PS4 FOB Defense force ?
I'm getting the game on the 4th (delivery delay for the CE), so I won't be there from Day 1. You can add me on PSN, though.
I just hope i can use a banana to hold up my enemies like in PW
Should I be more concerned about cheaters in the PC version than the console releases? I prefer playing on a PC, but if FOB and MGO are going to be shit it won't be worth it at all.
