Should I be more concerned about cheaters in the PC version than the console releases? I prefer playing on a PC, but if FOB and MGO are going to be shit it won't be worth it at all.
It's possible to be honest, but don't expect it straight away. It'll probably take a while for MP mods to work.
You can. Just go find Quiet
Or EVA... she'll be there, right?

Sadly, I expect to hear tales of super powerful cheaters running around within a week. Thus why I hope settings can be made so only friends of mine can invade me.
Chances are inf health is gonna be found within a day of release. Maybe less.

Or deactivate the feature completely. Which they mentioned was possible in the demo video
You'll probably have to be somewhat close to other players in progression to invade them, so an endgame player with stealth camouflage and wormhole fultons wouldn't be able to completely ruin somebody just starting out
Hopefully GMP doesn't take too long to build up, otherwise I'm probably going to be searching for exploits to gain huge amounts just like I did with money in GTA.
Well my first MGS was 3....and since it's the start of everything, it was a good starting point I guess.
i remember my first MG game was a peace walker demo i had on my PSP
i had literally no idea what the story of the game was but those 3 levels were pretty good

If it's anything like peace walker it'll be pretty natural.
I'm waiting for a video of a guy flawlessly wormhole fultoning away a guys entire base worth of items when he invades an FOB.
I'm also pretty torn on PC or PS4 for this game. I'm guessing most of the FOB Facepunch stuff will be on PC?

I feel your pain :dead:

At some point during release, the fp group on steam should get a list going of the people on pc, ps4, and xbone.
so how do you get an S rank on hard Ground Zeroes and hard Jamais Vu? I have A ranks on both, I just need the S ranks; then I will be at 100% completion.

You can s rank gz easily by rescuing all the soldiers. Jamais vu is a little more difficult, but you can hide on top of a tower and snipe everything.

Rescue all the POWs on GZ mission
Easy way to cheese Jamais Vu is to sit on top of the tower with a rocket launcher and take out the enemies as soon as they spawn. If you time it right, you can pretty much clear 5+ of them as they spawn out of a door.
My brother and I played the heck out of Twin Snakes when we were little, but no Metal Gear since until I jumped all the way down the Metal Gear hole less than a year ago while my brother remains unenlightened/untainted

jamais vu is also about speed. use raiden's super run to your advantage.
also, grab some c4 from a warehouse (not sure which), plant it on the AA guns around the helipad before you wait for your helicopter. do yourself a favor and plant some C4 and claymore mines in front of where the soldiers spawn (from the doorway behind the gate) and behind the crates. pick up the RPG launcher from a warehouse or from the guy that spawns with one.
and do not kill real soldiers. and hide during the attack waves. you can even take advantage of reflex, and whether or not it's enabled, if you don't ever go into reflex mode you'll still earn the reflex points.
So I noticed in some of the gameplay videos that some weapons have DMG, some have ZZZ, and some have...SIN?
The fuck does SIN mean? IS IT WHAT I THINK IT IS? :excited:

I'm sure it was STN, not SIN
I'm sure it was STN, not SIN
Oh. Right. I just figured the ZZZ category was just an umbrella for non-lethal.
There goes my crazy theories :v:

[sp]THE SIIIIIIIIIINNS, NEVER DIE[/sp]

There goes my crazy theories :v:
Care to elaborate? Dunno what you could get from SIN unless I'm stupid and it's something obvious
getting more and more hyped. i can't wait to join you guys out at sea in the facepunch FOB group.
We got 52 people now,so as long as at least half the people do it, it'll be pretty stronk hopefully.
Care to elaborate? Dunno what you could get from SIN unless I'm stupid and it's something obvious
Like I said, it was a crazy theory revolving around [sp]big boss' horn growing[/sp]
oh FUCK
was playing my first playthrough of MGS1, and I usually save frequently. I saved right after I [sp]got out of ocelot's torture cell[/sp]. My game crashed when I threw a grenade [sp]in the elevator with all of the invisible genome soldiers[/sp]
fuck me
Oh god he had the Rubber Slug Shotgun in that video
That weapon was hilarious in Peace Walker

Stealthed my way through 90% of the mission, but as soon as the alert went up when they saw Paz was out of her cell I just said "screw it" and sprinted the fuck out of there and threw caution to the wind.
Pretty good for what I assume to be your first run- just remember that alert doesn't take anything away from you scorewise, just makes it harder to get to the helicopter. Also, get more prisoners, they up your score.

adding on to this, it's really hard to lose a helicopter. You can order your heli to pick you up in the middle of the base and the heli will suffer major damage but will survive. If you really need to shave off a few minutes for your S rank, try doing that.
y'think one of the helicopter customization options in tpp will be to change its name? it was still morpho in the early demos but that might have been placeholder, now its peequad or something? It sounds like the same voice actor for the pilot so maybe there are more codenames you can have.
Hey, I made a Steam group for the FOB alliance thing. That way we know who to add when MGSV launches. Join in, friends.
There already is one.
