It still amazes me that, with all the information we have about TPP, we still barely know anything after the first map. We've seen the jungle, yes, but with only a couple missions from it. This game is gonna be gigantic and we're only just seeing the surface.
I hope I can rename one of the characters I captured "Slick Walrus"
The recent videos have shown a decent bit of Africa really.
Though at the same time, it hasn't been shown and dissected as much as Afghanistan has. It's amazing how many times Kojima and his team have only used a small portion of the main game for advertising (i.e. MGS2's entire marketing campaign)

Can diamond dogs use the prosthetic arms, or is that a Snake exclusive ability?
Can diamond dogs use the prosthetic arms, or is that a Snake exclusive ability?
Snake exclusive from what we've seen. The arm slot is always crossed out. Who knows, there could be exceptions, but I kind of doubt it.
Alright, I'm at 92%, all I've gotta do is the enemy marking trials and S-Rank a few more missions. I want to believe.

you just know a guy with the guts to call himself "Pouncing Moose" is gonna be a fuckin sick badass
I wonder if you can swim or dive in the game like in previous MGS titles ? I haven't seen any kind of hint or footage showing something relative that you can get into water.
you just know a guy with the guts to call himself "Pouncing Moose" is gonna be a fuckin sick badass
Fucken Bastard Wallaby though
Have they mention how snake got his bionic arm? Did they just take Zadornov's arm and modify it?
I wonder if you can swim or dive in the game like in previous MGS titles ?
I remember reading that Snake won't be able to swim in this one, but he'll be able to cross rivers and bodies of water as long as his feet can reach the bottom
Thanks for the info, I know it's something that it's not a necessary feature/action to be in the game but I would like if Snake would be able to do it in some occasions.
Have they mention how snake got his bionic arm? Did they just take Zadornov's arm and modify it?
Is it confirmed that his arm has a lighter?
Is it confirmed that his arm has a lighter?
He had quiet shoot his cigar to light it so I doubt it does :v:
Is there any reason to get 100% on GZ? Does it unlock anything in TPP, or are people doing it to just do it?
Is there any reason to get 100% on GZ? Does it unlock anything in TPP, or are people doing it to just do it?
unlocks certain soldiers and the sneaking suit
Is there any reason to get 100% on GZ? Considering we're sending them our savedata, I'm gonna guess the prisoners we extract also count as well.
He had quiet shoot his cigar to light it so I doubt it does :v:
Was that even confirmed or was that just that one fan comic?
Was that even confirmed or was that just that one fan comic?
http://i.imgur.com/jCIbGRv.gifv Don't know how to embed webms.
He had quiet shoot his cigar to light it so I doubt it does :v:
Maybe he was just out of fuel after being in the field for a long time :frown:

Oh man. That guy called Gray Bull. Seeing how the names are most likely generated, imagine if we are able to get gray fox :scream:
Oh man. That guy called Gray Bull. Seeing how the names are most likely generated, imagine if we are able to get gray fox :scream:
There are probably words not in the namegen so it doesn't end up accidentally generating names of actual characters
scowling dhole is best soldier
Hopefully we'll be seeing the same generation in MGO 3, i wouldnt mine having my guy look Hotel. Noticed a few things looks like we can get up to around 1600 staff members, maybe up to 2000 as the limit. Looks like there isnt much need to send off expendables to doomed outer ops missions till much later. Also, 8 nukes?
Christ, Peace Walker's [sp]torture section[/sp] is fucking brutal. Good thing I don't have to do that again. At which point my PSP decided that saving should be a bad idea and decided not to do it. So I had to spend another 20 minutes doing it all again. [sp]I think I'll be relaxing my fingers for a while.[/sp]
You know, something that bugs me about TPP that has done from the start, which I thought I'd get used to eventually, is Big Boss' ponytail. I mean, it's sorta just... There. Everything else about his design has been talked about by Kojima but I don't actually think he's mentioned anything about it like he has with the tail-strap, the shrapnel, the significance of the bionic arm. Hell even the sneaking boots have had a feature. But the ponytail as far as I know has just been a design choice since the concept art. I feel like we're just going to set up for big boss' first mission after being hospitalised and he'll just have a ponytail as if it was normal for him to do that, without a cutscene of him putting his hair in a ponytail or saying why or anything. I guess I could wear the bandanna if it bothered me that much (It doesn't, Big Boss just casually putting a bandanna back on after his whole moving on speech in peace walker probably bothers me more than the ponytail.) I just wish there was a way to just have his hair as the classic mullet, like in Ground Zeroes. [editline]yes[/editline] Actually, I've just realised something quite ironic about the whole moving on speech. [sp]In MGS3, Snake takes the bandanna from the boss, and the next time we see her without the bandanna, her hair is in a ponytail.[/sp] Could the ponytail be Big Boss Subconciously still clinging to The Boss after ditching the bandanna? :v: [sp]This is now headcanon[/sp]
