i think it needs to be exaggerated a little bit just for the sake of the player. if it was too subtle, we likely wouldn't notice it - when you're around a dog and getting personal with it, you'd likely be close enough to see those small little changes in their face, etc. given that this is primarily in third person it's gotta be a bit more exaggerated so we can get that same sense of personality out of it

Huh, is it me, or does the latest gameplay video actually have some noticeable dips in the framerate? If the consoles will have some noticeable dips, I can only imagine that means the PC version will be quite demanding. Hopefully I'll still be able to comfortably run it.

It also still has that draw distance problem. Kinda annoying but I can't imagine it wont be fixed in some way. Either by Kojima or by the community.

Keep in mind that this is an open-world game with massive areas and loads of detail, with completely dynamic AI.
This game is gonna need a supercomputer. I don't know if it could even work on PS3, knowing how Ground Zeroes was.

Comparing the PC version of GZ to the PS4 version of GZ, what I've noticed is that the setting for model detail is set to somewhere around medium to high on PS4 while on PC I have it set to very high, which pretty much eliminates the noticeable pop-in of models. Since the footage we're seeing is on PS4, I imagine the graphics settings are similar to GZ on PS4.
After playing GZ on PC for a long time, I tried the PS4 version again, and the model draw distance stuck out to me A LOT more than it used to. Extremely noticeable once I got used to the PC version.
Hopefully the same results will be in TPP.

I also hope they fixed the quick-turning where all the props and stuned enemies are clearly loaded in at that time.

I think Punished Snake was an initial title for Big Boss in TPP while it was in early development, but Kojima came up with Venom Snake later and it replaced the punished snake title. Notice that after the e3 2013 trailer he has never been referred to as punished snake again. That's my thoughts on it anyway.

it's funny, a lot of people don't realize just how fucking huge horses really are
my roommate took an equestrian science course which required him to actually train a horse to pull carriages and shit, and i had to hang around while he trained it to make sure that if he got kicked in the face someone was around to call 911
it was my first time being up close with a horse in a long time, and even the smaller ones are big fucking animals. there's something about their size that just doesn't get conveyed in film and tv and stuff, even a lot of videogames. they're basically just a set of gigantic muscles with a bit of hair.

is it bad that my biggest hope for mgs5 is that they don't add blur to the iron sights like they do in ground zeroes? other games do this too, and the dof blur is so crappy that it just blurs out everything and makes it hard to judge where you're aiming sometimes. it really blows

FO4 is totally gonna be all mods. skyrim and FO3 core games felt incredibly empty. at least when contrasted with MGS series games

worst thing about that is aiming through foliage or some kind of fence mesh is almost impossible because it throws focus back and forth

I don't know. It won't be New Vegas (IMO possibly the greatest game ever made, up there with some Metal Gears) but I think it'll be plenty worth playing.
Depending on how you look at it 2015 might just be one of the greatest years in gaming, to rival 1998.

Yeah I can see that getting really annoying over time. I think it might be a bit too presumptuous to hope that you can disable some of the iDroid's dialogue but keep the other dialogue on.
