Anyone know what's the best way to emulate MGS3? My PS2 doesn't want to read discs anymore.
Anyone know what's the best way to emulate MGS3? My PS2 doesn't want to read discs anymore.
MGS 3 emulation is very buggy from my experience, but perhaps it's fixable
MGS 3 emulation is pretty good on my PC. it's really mostly about CPU speed, not core count or anything. using a 4970k at 4.2GHz
Wait i never knew about all these briefing files in peace walker; shows how much Inpayed attention before rushing into battle.
You know how they say enemies will adapt to your tactics: more armor, helmets? I can't wait to see them wearing a chain and a ball so you can't fulton them.
That would actually be pretty interesting, and it would work as a visual contrast to the Fulton. [editline]21st June 2015[/editline] Maybe if you interrogate too many enemies they could start wearing stab-proof vests? And some have additional training that make them flat-out refuse to talk? Maybe if you use DD too much they start laying out dog food that DD can't resist unless your trust is high enough with them? So many possibilities. [editline]21st June 2015[/editline] Caltrops that limit where your horse can go, hire me Kojima :v:
During the demo BB kicked a guy on the ground to knock him out, even though he already held him up. Did they change it so they won't just lie on the ground for an eternity?
Except he didn't hold him, Big Boss was aiming his AR at him while telling the guy to lie down before he knocked him out with the kick.
That's what I meant. In GZ if you hold someone up and tell them to lie down, like in the demo, they will lie there forever 'til someone finds them. I'm wondering if they changed that because he didn't need to knock him out otherwise.
who needs metal gear just fulton a nuke
While the possibilities are endless, I can only think of silly ones such as self-stabbing soldiers, soldiers with tape over their mouths, suicidal soldiers, self-fulton soldiers etc.
Suicidal soldiers actually would be a better countermeasure, just have them pop a cyanide pill. I'm also interested in countermeasures for straight-up stealth. Maybe guards can go back to back, some can scan the battlefield with thermal binoculars, etc.
I wonder if there would be any countermeasures if you completely ghosted the game.
Probably 50+ guards in densely packed environments all the time no exceptions. Or just very, very inconveniently placed cameras.
I wonder if there would be any countermeasures if you completely ghosted the game.
I imagine they are still going to do SOMETHIng, cause you are always doing SOMETHING wherever you go. Perhaps increase watch count, since they haven't been able to find you the last few times with the standard patrol.
imagine how cool it would be if you could tape a photo to security cameras [editline]21st June 2015[/editline] probably not thast cool tbh by the time youre close enough to do that you're detected anyways duh
Don't know if I'm late but did anyone notice the last building tab of motherbase? Interesting in relation to the trailer http://i.4cdn.org/vg/1434841608693.png
After months of being stuck at 94% I decided to sit down and complete Ground Zeroes. After only a couple of missions I managed to get 100%. It's a lot easier now that I have glasses and don't have to fucking strain my eyes when I need to move and shoot. [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/6lVjVZR.jpg?1[/thumb] I'm officially ready for The Phantom Pain.
I think it has something to do with Big Boss awakening from his coma as a different man. Like when people say "has he come to yet?" when referring to someone regaining consciousness.
I thought so too, but after the newest trailer I have the sneaking suspicion that it's something else.

Maybe there will be some kind of enemy or some kind of thing with diseases or something. Which reminds me...(of the thing you're probably mentioning about the trailer) There were these pyro units who apparently were setting fire to people and getting slashed by a crashing helicopter's rotors inside a building (wat :v:) (I'm loving the ammount of paranormal stuff going on in the trailers, its so intriguing)
You have to do all the trials, right?
Not ALL of them, just a certain set of them. Technically you have to UNLOCK all the trials, which you do by completing certain ones.
Not ALL of them, just a certain set of them. Technically you have to UNLOCK all the trials, which you do by completing certain ones.
alright cool, I wasn't sure if it was just unlocking them or doing them all. Still means I have to mark loads of enemies though :v:
Probably 50+ guards in densely packed environments all the time no exceptions. Or just very, very inconveniently placed cameras.
would be funny (not) if they end up being like the final PW levels

Would be both infuriating and amusing at the same time.
Since Sony gave away Ground Zeroes for PS4 and I already bought it for Xbox One I'm not sure which system I'm going to buy TPP for. I usually just default to Xbox One because I gameshare with my friend so we get two for the price of one but he doesn't contribute jack shit. He is mooching off my Witcher 3, Game of Thrones, Evil Within, Sunset Overdrive, and who knows what else. I don't know if I want to give him MGS for free as well. :v:
Damn, it's getting to the point where the only thing I want more than The Phantom Pain is PC ports of MGS 1-3, and maybe even Peace Walker in there too. I hope there are plans to do it in the future if demand is high enough, because I'd really love to play them on PC without the suggestion of emulation, or using the outdated ports.
So what ever happened to Amanda, Cecile, and Strangelove? Has there been any word on them returning?
So what ever happened to Amanda, Cecile, and Strangelove? Has there been any word on them returning?
Amanda is mentioned in GZ. No word on any of them in TPP to my knowledge.
So what ever happened to Amanda, Cecile, and Strangelove? Has there been any word on them returning?
Strangelove left since there was nothing else for her to do (GZ).
So what ever happened to Amanda, Cecile, and Strangelove? Has there been any word on them returning?
strangelove has been mentioned to be in tpp
strangelove has been mentioned to be in tpp
Not to mention the whole background implications from PW involved with [sp]her having feelings for Huey, both of them having Space Odyssey as their favorite movie, and Hal being born in 1980 supposedly. It's entirely possible they already temporarily married and may have divorced or something.[/sp]
