Man, that AA Emplacement mission screwed me over. Anyone got any tips on how to make that a S playthrough?
I've got an[URL="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y7aCCofXYVU"] edited video[/URL] that shows you how to get S playthrough. It's also got skype noises in a few parts.
Pretty sure you can get S rank by just hopping on the first gun and blowing the other guns up, then C4ing the gun and the APC that follows.
Make sure to tranq the nearby guards too; if you do that right you'll also get 0 combat alerts despite literally blowing up a tank and three miniguns. Never played a single Metal Gear Solid game, got Metal Gear Rising on a sale and absolutely loved it, any chance for a sequel?
I'd be surprised if it wasn't happening, given the original's success. Then again Konami has done dumber things.

Like it'll probably make support calls faster the higher rank it is, and increase the power/speed of airstrikes.
I'm aware it's not an MGS game, but it is a Metal Gear game. I have no interest in MGS5, but I would love a sequel to Revengeance.

Fuck, I'm having so much trouble with GZ. Is there a way to knock people out with CQC that lasts for more than two seconds, or is tranq rounds the only reliable way to keep people down?
i think the combo attack you do knocks them indefinitely?

MGR obviously isn't an MGS game, but it sure as hell is an MG game

The tranqs are the longest lasting knockout. If you want to fudge the no kills thing you can throw people off cliffs or blow up explosive barrels to kill enemies without it counting against you, because you didn't land the killing blow.

Man the first AA gun, use it to shoot the two that you can see from it (you have to shoot through a truck for the far one). Then you place C4 on the AA gun you used and blow it up, call in the chopper at the top of the cliff and plant 3-4 C4 on the road where the APC comes in, detonate the C4 as the APC rolls over it and your evac should be coming in for a landing. Then you hop on the chopper and get the hell out of Dodge. I think I'm just not good at this game, I've S ranked Ground Zeroes on normal but I can't do anything else.
you're probably not bad. i would say that a lot of people who 100% often use guides
Why would you need a guide? Once you know enemy sight ranges and study their patrols you shouldn't have too hard a time on hard. The only things you might have trouble getting is the tapes and XOF patches, which can be pretty hard to spot. Getting S rank isn't too hard once you have practice on the missions, saving the hostages isn't hard if you take your time, and the trials are more about scouring the map (normal) or just beating the mission again (hard).

You can save a bit of time by planting the C4 on the gun before you hop off too.
