The main thing I'm wondering is, [sp]how the fuck is Paz still alive? She fucking exploded. I hope they don't pull some "oh she was a clone" bullshit.[/sp]

There'll be more to it than that obviously.
Isn't there a guy in the other helicopter pointing a rocket launcher towards the helicopter before the explosion?

you can't actually make out what he's holding, but it could be an rpg
[sp] maybe young psycho mantis (gasmask kid) saved her? [/sp]
It's hard to save [sp]a person with a bomb in her lasagna going boom[/sp] but then this is Metal Gear so..

Its probably just a caloriemate.
[sp]I just assumed it's because Ground Zeroes isn't exactly canon or something along those lines.[/sp]
I wonder who the main antagonist will be, since[sp]Skull Face is pretty much confirmed to be a figment of Snake's imagination.[/sp]

Seems pretty canon to me if it's still in the trailers.
I wonder who the main antagonist will be, since[sp]Skull Face is pretty much confirmed to be a figment of Snake's imagination.[/sp]
[sp]I reckon that skullface is real for the first ~half of the game, but then you kill him in a boss fight or he gets killed and from that point on he is just a part of bb's imagination[/sp]
Isn't there a guy in the other helicopter pointing a rocket launcher towards the helicopter before the explosion?
What's the significance of this?
I wonder who the main antagonist will be, since[sp]Skull Face is pretty much confirmed to be a figment of Snake's imagination.[/sp]
[sp]just because he appears in one of the cutscenes, doesn't mean he doesn't exist at all.[/sp]
I wonder who the main antagonist will be, since[sp]Skull Face is pretty much confirmed to be a figment of Snake's imagination.[/sp]
[sp]Probably Zero. Which honestly is kind of shitty considering Zero wasn't behind Mother Base's destruction. I imagine Skull Face or his ghost or whatever redpills the shit out of Big Boss and that causes him to try and stop Zero.[/sp]
I wonder who the main antagonist will be, since[sp]Skull Face is pretty much confirmed to be a figment of Snake's imagination.[/sp]
[sp]It's not confirmed. It's a good theory for now but I'm more for the idea that Skull Face dies and Snake is plagued by hallucinations of him.[/sp]
What's the significance of this?
well maybe the explosion is caused by a rocket rather than [sp]paz's exploding cooch, which explains why she appears in the mgsv:tpp trailer [/sp]
What's the significance of this?
Other than the fact that the thing that caused the helicopter to crash was [sp]paz exploding[/sp] , and not the rocket launcher, not much.
well maybe the explosion is caused by a rocket rather than [sp]paz's exploding cooch, which explains why she appears in the mgsv:tpp trailer [/sp]
[sp]She still had another bomb timed to go off though.[/sp]
I get the feeling some scenes won't be in the final game. Big Boss in the halls filled with corpses seemed like a very trailer-made kind of thing. Perhaps some details in there are meant to really fuck with us or may be altered in the final product.
It wouldn't be the first time Kojima's used trailers and openings to mislead his playerbase, and with this being his last hurrah he can literally mindfuck us for another decade if he wanted to. The only problem is that we're expecting it this time.
Even if she didn't [sp]explode[/sp], we have audio tapes confirming that [sp]many of her organs were removed to make room for the bomb, and that she had less than 24 hours to live[/sp].
Calling it now:[sp] the person on the operating table with the similar scar being discussed by Big Boss and Ocelot is an entirely different person. The similar scar was simply a Kojima ruse meant to fuel fan theories. The scene with Paz is either a flashback to before GZ, or it isn't Paz at all.[/sp]
Either that or some crackpot theory like Paz/that person being a clone of The Boss or Skullface being a figment of BB's imagination or some shit will come true.

"pretty much confirmed"
do you realize how often people have said that for theories that didn't even come close to true in previous MGS games
even if Skull Face is real, it seems like him and Snake are indifferent towards each other. In the latest trailer, they're seen talking in a truck.

You know, I've thought about this, we've seen scenes in trailers, and then we've seen the same scene in another trailer and there were different people, having something to do with the choices you make in the game. What if that particular scene is some Kojima movie magic and it's one scene without Skull Face [sp]Because you made a choice earlier in the game not to team up[/sp] transitioning into the same scene with Skull Face [sp]Because you did choose to team up[/sp]

And in another scene we see [sp]Big Boss dangling upside down and Skull face approaches him aggressively.[/sp]

Maybe the Deja Vu mission emphasises on SCENE because it is another hint towards all that [sp]pulling at straws now[/sp]

Honestly I don't think the story is that dynamic. Choosing whether or not to [sp]team up with Skullface[/sp] seems like it'd make a huge divergence in the story. Stories with multiple endings and paths and whatnot always end up watered down, or it's just multiple paths to the same key points in the story. Take TellTale games and Bioshock Infinite for example.
The only other time MGS has done anything like that, to my knowledge, is the multiple endings of MGS1. Even then, only one of the endings were canon.
mgs theories are hilarious to watch unfold
[editline]22nd June 2015[/editline]
dynamic stories are really hard to do right without having to pick one 'canon' storyline which kinda sucks all the time when it happens
Also interesting to note, is that as of the end of Ground Zeros, Big Boss doesn't know [sp]Skullface[/sp] is to blame and probably thinks it's all [sp]Cipher/Zero's[/sp] doing. Do we have any indication yet that he knows or finds out the better early on in TPP? [sp]I have no idea what to spoil?! What is even secret?!![/sp]
Fuck, I'm having so much trouble with GZ. Is there a way to knock people out with CQC that lasts for more than two seconds, or is tranq rounds the only reliable way to keep people down?
making people lie down makes them stay down until the base goes on alert iirc
so if you work quickly and efficiently you can make it so that you've never got to worry about bodies
making them lie down is perfect for people that are in control towers and shit like that
[editline]21st June 2015[/editline]
alt i think you can grab them and release them where you want them to lie down before the holdup but i may be wrong it's been a while
found a really great recut of 2014 E3 trailer. Spoilers for GZ

Every time I see Ground Zeroes' Big Boss it reminds me how much I love that design. It's better than his TPP look if you ask me.
they're both great and both make sense in their respective context imo
[editline]22nd June 2015[/editline]
big boss with the shemagh on is a cool ass look

[sp]The "V" scar is probably just Skullface's trademark.[/sp]
