I'm trying to figure out my PS4's fan noise problem in time for Phantom Pain. I've had it since 2013 but have probably played it for less than 20 hours (even after returning it twice, I have three PS4 boxes in my house) since because the fan is so atrociously loud in my room (it also overheats, I remember there were a few times when bringing up my iDroid map would take upwards of 30 seconds). I have no idea what to do about it really. I would buy a PSTV and leave the PS4 in the living room if the streaming wasn't lower quality. And yes, it's not in an enclosed area or anything. I think the airflow in my room is just weird.

I doubt there's anything you can do about it short of waiting for them to do make a newer version of the ps4.

Mine sounds like that all the time. I don't see how being able to hear my console through a closed door 15 feet away in the living room could possibly be normal or acceptable.

The disc drive is the loudest part of my PS4. Sure, the fan gets louder than normal when I play Bloodborne but it's not enough to distract from the game

Think about it, Grey Fox's love interest disappears after her death, a character in the following game has a similar first name without even a mention of similarity, and Fox gets a new few dark and secret elements of his past that he discusses instead without any mention of what went down in MG2. Kio Marv dies and stays dead, never gets mentioned again, and Madnar gets a single reference as an off-handed explanation for [sp]Raiden's new cyborg ninja body in MGS4[/sp]. Just about everything from the MSX games that weren't any of the main cast of characters - including your support team besides Campbell - disappear from the franchise, and even a plot macguffin like OILIX disappears without a trace nor mention anywhere else in the franchise. Hell, the only thing Snake really references besides plot is thinking the world abandoned their nuclear arms like in Metal Gear 2, only for Campbell to quickly correct him an hour into Solid 1. Then again, that was back when Snake was part of FOXHOUND, and after MGS1 with the FOXHOUND takeover of Shadow Moses and its disbandment thereafter, it makes sense why you don't see some of them again.

All of the Snakes are practically identical. They just have varying levels of facial hair/bandanna, so the similarities aren't readily apparent.
