Konami made the title and V shit brown.
tbh that looks like just a color balancing issue between the two images, i mean look at the plastic case itself as well as the ps4 logo, there's a significant hue difference that might account for why they look more brown than red now [editline]14th July 2015[/editline] i get the frustration with removing the a hideo kojima game from it but none of the other US releases have had the kojima productions logo
what's wrong with the cover?
it's just a close up shot of Big Boss with a V overlaid on top it's an incredibly boring cover
it's just a close up shot of Big Boss with a V overlaid on top it's an incredibly boring cover
that's pretty much every MGS cover though. People have said a shinkawa illustration instead in the past but that'd be too niche I think
I blame Konami for everything.

Honestly I like the box art, it gives some tension and mystery as to who Big Boss is, given that lots of people who will buy it never even heard of him.
So does kojipro being disbanded mean they couldn't 100% finish the game? Otsuka said they were "nearly complete."
So does kojipro being disbanded mean they couldn't 100% finish the game? Otsuka said they were "nearly complete."
My worst fear right now is that there's going to be a shit ton of DLC in MGO.

I own mgs2 substance and the cover is :ok: [t]http://img2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20090708182542/metalgear/images/8/87/MGS2S_NA_cover.jpg[/t]
Honestly I like the box art, it gives some tension and mystery as to who Big Boss is, given that lots of people who will buy it never even heard of him.
He doesn't look very striking compared to your generic bearded soldier here though, this could be the box art to any modern FPS.
Yoji Shinkawa's artwork rules though, of all the things they could have used for this game's box art a profile view of BB's head is pretty dull.
i'd put money on that being a kojima decision. he's going with a decidedly hollywood feel for mgs5, wouldn't surprise me in the least bit if he decided he didn't want the more eastern inspired art on there.
The opening better still credit Kojima 40 times
i'm just really curious to see what / if kojima productions manages to sneak into mgs5 as a big old fuck you to konami i hope they manage to sneak something by
Why the hell did [sp]ocelot replace his hand with liquid's hand in mgs2?[/sp]
i'm just really curious to see what / if kojima productions manages to sneak into mgs5 as a big old fuck you to konami i hope they manage to sneak something by
Isn't there like a reference to Kojima after every mission?
Instead of just removing his name they should cover it up with big black bars like in classified documents.
Why the hell did [sp]ocelot replace his hand with liquid's hand in mgs2?[/sp]
[sp]It's hard to do gun spinning with one hand.[/sp]
-snip accidentally posted-
it's a guy with a horn sticking out of his head with incredibly well done lighting its good art
Why the hell did [sp]ocelot replace his hand with liquid's hand in mgs2?[/sp]
With all the crazy shit that happens in MGS2 I wouldn't be surprised if Kojima was fucked up on angel dust while writing the first draft of the script. I've had fever dreams that made more sense than the last hour of MGS2. I mean just sit down and think about the details of what the last boss fight is. [sp] Could you imagine George Bush turning out to be a clone of a legendary soldier, and him ninja sword fight some feminine dude on a roof in Manhattan whilst also wielding octopus robo arms. I mean holy fuck.[/sp]

I remember that one character designer going, "At one point, Kojima asked me to make the protagonist a pretty boy. At first I thought he was joking, but then I realized he was serious. Some time later he came to me and said a vampire was going to be in the game. Again, I thought he was joking, but he was not."
The opening better still credit Kojima 40 times
Unless there have been further shenanigans it looks like every mission starts with the character names and "Directed by Hideo Kojima", which is completely overkill but remained in the most recent gameplay.
Is there any GOOD playthrough (without commentary) of all the Metal Gear Solid games? I unfortunately can't play all of them, so I have to watch someone play it.
It's funny we're talking about MGS2, since I just finished replaying it. It feels a lot less confusing and muddeled now that I beat it again; and I managed to do it in 5 hours less to boot. Now to get back to my no-kills playthrough of mgs3.
Is there any GOOD playthrough (without commentary) of all the Metal Gear Solid games? There's some commentary but they usually shut up during cutscenes and they show a lot of content.
