seeing a lot of numbers here. 7/14? and what is (-33/-266)? how much ammo you're losing or you've used?
i see a damage variable of the uragan 5, originally non-lethal in ground zeroes. i would imagine if it has the same types of slugs as the one in gz it can probably stop a whale.
also from reddit:

Geist means ghost so that pistol will probably be good for stealth.
Zorn means anger so whatever the fuck that gun is supposed to be, I'm sure it's going to deal a lot of damage.
Fakel means torch (AE not BE) so maybe it'll have incendiary rounds? It's also possible that there's no connection as it's misspelled, Fackel would be correct.
Edit: Fakel is the norwegian spelling, so the gun might actually have some connection to fire.

I'm guessing 7/14 is ammo pool. (-33/-266) is probably loss of penetration, firing rate, range, and grouping.
One feature that I really want in TPP is the ability to drop weapons and equipment. I haven't seen any signs of it being in the game though. I don't want to equip a sniper rifle just to use it for a couple of guards, then play the rest of the mission sneaking with a giant rifle attached on my back. You can't drop any 'back' weapons in GZ and it makes me think twice about using things like sniper rifles and rocket launchers, just knowing that it will not come off.

The fact that skull face has a hand solely for fedora tipping might make him my favorite action figure ever
“We have a little bit of info to share on MGO tonight, many of you have had questions about the gear customization. The game allows players to access different gear types, and one nice feature is the ability to change color, or even patterns on most gear. To demonstrate this, here is a shot of two identical pieces of gear, modified in color and pattern:
Anyone else planning on replaying all the canon games on the lead up to MGSV? I'm going all cutscenes and as many codec/radio calls as possible.

I'm currently doing that. I'm planning to watch the PO movie first. Was Portable Ops released before MGS4 or before PW?
I'm already in the middle of doing that :v:

I'm playing all of them for the first time (sans 4 because I've already played that one. It's getting re-played) right now. These games are so fucking good.
Am now on MGS3 (Snake Eater because I actually prefer the more top-down camera + I already own it so I won't have to go out and buy anything to play it)

Didn't they get a sniper rifle dropped down in the ROCKETTTA PAAAUNCH gameplay video?

I played though all of them for shits and giggles before the release date was announced. The giant wait between GZ and MGSV makes it feel authentic, like I'm in a coma.

At least the camera is a decision you can make if you really do like it. In any case one day I want to try the 3DS version out, even despite the horribad framerate, if only because of the gameplay tweaks like crouchwalking and Peace Walker-esque interface.

He means drop the weapons from your person, or unequip them.
So from what I hear, I should finish MGS3 and then watch the PO movie before moving onto MGS4?

Exactly. It's a small thing, maybe if it's not in the initial release they can patch it (or mod it for PC)
It's such a basic option though, every rpg I've ever played has the option to drop (un-equip) weapons and items...

But MGS is not a RPG.
But MGS is not a RPG.
Regardless, I see no reason why a highly trained operative cannot let go of a weapon and let it drop.
