At least the camera is a decision you can make if you really do like it. In any case one day I want to try the 3DS version out, even despite the horribad framerate, if only because of the gameplay tweaks like crouchwalking and Peace Walker-esque interface.
The framerate is much better on the New 3DS
Regardless, I see no reason why a highly trained operative cannot let go of a weapon and let it drop.
I like how Hitman you can just drop whatever at any time. So you can empty a gun and then just discard it like a badass.
Regardless, I see no reason why a highly trained operative cannot let go of a weapon and let it drop.
A highly trained soldier probably wouldn't want to lose his weapon or risk it falling into enemy hands. Especially not a private soldier like BB who has to pay for all the weapons he uses.

Don't PMCs usually buy weapons in bulk anyway?
A highly trained soldier probably wouldn't want to lose his weapon or risk it falling into enemy hands. Let's use an example: Start a mission, want to use a rocket to destroy an enemy radar dish. Get to a vantage point and use the rocket. Radar is destroyed, now time to sneak in and complete the mission. (Assume you don't want to sneak with a giant rocket launcher attached to your back.) Drop rocket launcher at the vantage point and proceed. Once objectives are complete, rendezvous back at the vantage point to retrieve equipment and call in a chopper for pick-up. Leaving equipment, based on the gameplay demonstration, in the field gets automatically fultoned when you complete the mission or start a new mission from free roam mode, so it could also work that way for items/weapons.
Regardless, I see no reason why a highly trained operative cannot let go of a weapon and let it drop.
Because there aren't enough buttons on a controller for a drop button
The framerate is much better on the New 3DS
I can confirm that it's not. That's a myth; existing games don't run any better on N3DS. Despite that, though, MGS3D is still good and worth a playthrough for the upgraded gameplay. Definitely need a circle pad pro or N3DS for controls, though.
I honestly hated the circle pad for mgs3d. The sticks felt super inaccurate.

I sold my copy of MGS3DS today to get a PS3- that'll ship by next week and I'll finally be able to use the Legacy Collection I got.
i remember reading a playtester review, theres some kind of tutorial in MGS V where its [sp]snake cqcing the boss at the end of MGS 3 [/SP] was this ever confirmed?
I hope it is. [sp]Unlockable MGS3 sneaking suit please.[/sp]
Plus using the 3ds camera to take photos of things for camo patterns, I imagine there are a few snakes with someone's dick as their camo.
penis camo yes pls

That leak does fit with the trailers though since [sp] big boss wakes up in the hospital to those flower pedals from their fight[/sp]
Plus using the 3ds camera to take photos of things for camo patterns, I imagine there are a few snakes with someone's dick as their camo.
Actually, I made a series of Luigi-inspired camo for MGS3D, many of which are really overpowered. I mean just look at this shit:

Wow, it looks like Quiet's chest is muscle without any skin. If you look, you can see veins.
what is even going on with quiet's left boob wtf
all that blood is making her bikini reeeeeeeeeal slippery
Wow, it looks like Quiet's chest is muscle without any skin. If you look, you can see veins.
I think those are supposed to be blood dripping down
It's still a pretty amazing poster anyway. I'm assuming it's only available in Japan?
That weapons list is definitely not complete, I'm 100% certain there's a 7.62 variant of the SVG rifle, you can see it with different magazines in the trailers. Child soldiers use beat up 7.62 versions with metal banana mags, and Soviets use better kept versions with 5.45 bakelite (orange) mags.
You mean the weapon list that doesn't show every category and hasn't fully scrolled through every category isn't complete?
Yes. Precisely. [sp] Don't hate me I just wanted to contribute :( [/sp] Also, I just made this really fast to show what I was talking about if anyone cares:
I still have to wonder if there's a plot reason for it. The movie stylings, the "COMING 1985", the fictional weapons and sci-fi that is ridiculous for the era due to Kojima's habits of creating technology as the series advances rather than depending on the chronology, the hallucinations, the licensed music being a very key tone-setter, etc. etc. I'm not going to say it's all a VR simulator, but something about all of this really itches that 'oh god kojima's gonna fuck with me again' sensation in the back of the brain. If anything it'd be more like a propaganda movie or game-long hallucination by Zero to make Big Boss seem like one heroic dude that has his Rambo-like moments of darkness or something. The fact that such a self-categorized brain sensation exists in the first place is probably not a good thing.
I can't wait to see how Kojima fucks me this time
I suspect one reason that the fictional guns exist is because the creators want to have some creative liberty with gun customization--some of TPP's guns have rail systems (which was not a thing in the 1980s), and one can see some very outlandish gun variants that would not have fit their real-life counterparts, such as a Bambetov (TPP's SVD) equipped with a vertical foregrip and suppressor
