The issue is the cost of it. It'd cost too much to fly them to japan or wherever and to stay there while they get their voice work done, and it'd cost too much to set up a recording studio in Russia. It's better to just go with the english studio already in use to mock up some russian.

I replayed MGS1 again to get the Meryl ending and I just realized how much nobody cares about Otacon the entire time :v:. Sniper Wolf never calls him by his name, he's almost forgotten about at the end of the game, and Meryl mispronounces his name as "Oat-acon" when they actually remember about him.

Otacon had supernatural foxdie or some shit. Everyone he ever loves dies in shitty ways.

I'm watching the Digital Graphic Novel for the first time and just realized that most of these voice actors are from the original games. Which also made me realize that, counting Twin Snakes, these people have played these same roles three times. Damn. A thought occurred to me today, why the fuck do they bother saying Liquid is blonde because his hair got sun bleached? Just fucking say that being a clone of BB, BB had the gene for blondness but they chose to have it expressed when they made Liquid to 1) tell Liquid and Solid apart 2) just because they can manipulate genes. Or you know, Liquid could have just dyed it blonde because he was sick of being compared to Solid and wanted to have his own identity since we already know he has an inferiority complex towards Solid. It's a much better explanation than he didn't wear a hat all those years he spent in the desert

Pure speculation about Psycho Mantis lookalike Jr: [sp]Does anyone else think he/she whoever they are is going to end up as a partner instead of just being a villain? After watching the E3 2015 trailer again I noticed he/she has a red ribbon thingo on their left shoulder, which Liquid Jr also has (I'm assuming Liquid joins Mother base at least for a while from what we've seen with the other trailers). A Psycho mantis boss fight a 3rd time might not be as exciting as before, so maybe you end up recruiting him/her after a boss fight like Quiet. Also in the hospital it looks like he/she is aiding you instead of trying to kill you (Like why stop that XOF dude from executing you, why be bothered by a chopper). Alright, well I did some careful investigation and found out that those glasses really are proof that he or someone close to him went to an actual preview event. Granted, they were given four days, but I would've thought that Konami reps would've cut anyone off who was getting too close to the end (or simply not given them a build that included it). I guess it's possible that they had too much faith in their NDAs, though.

By the way, if anyone's interested, those Nvidia codes for TPP are starting to show up on eBay. Most people are only asking around $40 USD for them. Might be a good opportunity to get the PC version for cheaper than launch price (likely $60).
