It wouldn't be the same without Sakurai, sadly- it was the last game he worked on before leaving HAL, and I think it was his style that kept it so good. Hopefully they'll relive it if they do it again.

I'm really curious to see how they mix things together. If I'm not mistaken, they're throwing Dr. Nefarious somewhere in it as a minor villain, and from the look of the thumbnail, Talwyn is somehow gonna be included. Even if some things don't get mixed in well, it sure is gonna be more interesting than a 1:1 remake.

If you find any red boxes in the cave under wispy, they will ALWAYS have a piece of the dragoon or hydra.
Red boxes have higher chance of parts than green.
You actually jump way higher with the wheelie scooter in high jump than any other ship.
The uh dark star? (the evil wings glider) Can snake, so you can use that.

Yeah, the movie is supposed to be a retelling of 1, with a dash of 2 and 3 in it. But if Talwyn is in it, then I guess they're throwing in some PS3-era elements as well. Hopefully it doesn't get too convoluted.

Green boxes can't have legendary parts. And Dragoon and Flight Warp Star (and bulk star if you glitch it) flies higher than the wheelie scooter.
Was really disappointed in Smash Run, which was supposed to be somewhat of an successor to City Trial.

So, an interesting tidbit about the Platinum Games reveal- not only will it be revealed the 15th, but it will be revealed during Youtube Live, [I]not[/I] during any of the conferences or through any other publisher. I'm pretty sure we're dealing with a new IP here, and that's pretty amazing.
