All the animations are pretty stiff looking as well. It looks too much like you are floating instead of walking. The guns have no kickback and the take downs are pretty lackluster.

Fuck man, I don't get why this is so hard for them. I want some metal riffs, I want speed, I want guns that feel powerful, I want Hell to look like Hell.
That weapon change in DOOM kills the pacing.

Biggest problem I have with that gameplay is that it seems that they chose to show it of on a console... I mean, why on earth else would they play using a controller? I'm sure the gameplay would have been faster if it was shown on a PC.
Also, that hell level was cool, loved the arena fight that got crazy.
