I have mixed feelings, I'm really excited for a new "fun" shooter, but it looks like they just took Doom 3, lightened it up and sped it up.

Doom/Quake was known for it's unpredictable abstract level design.

Visuals, speed, and combat/violence are spot-on, but the maps look like either repetitive straight corridors or sleepy battle arenas with a bunch of monsters thrown in. Multiplayer and custom content support does sound promising however.
