So I managed to get an error log: http://pastebin.com/tWbwsqB0 This has been happening ever since I placed the socket frame down. I haven't been able to get into the server since. No idea what it means but I'm guessing something in engineer's toolbox is fucking up server-side.
hi hello grab a new log now that the server isn't totally fucked this log is useless as it's simply just the usual errors "you've connected too many times recently" and "the server is currently laggin' balls come back later" that everyone gets try to only put one login in the file, the previous one had 2 logins which makes it slightly more annoying to find where it starts and where it ends you can find the file here, although you probably already know that: \Technic\modpacks\technicalia\logs and in the offchance is causes a crash, they're here: \Technic\modpacks\technicalia\crash-reports
-snip-
Got it. https://www.dropbox.com/s/nkyikzobblo1kjk/latest.log?dl=0
Got it. https://www.dropbox.com/s/nkyikzobblo1kjk/latest.log?dl=0
it appears to be identical to my log up until line 19523 [t]http://i.imgur.com/SRVcoSJ.png[/t] at that point a few of the threads go faster/slower than each other and a few things get out of order, but nothing that would cause problems. all of the content is still there between the two, but yours ends shortly before the MOTD message gets recieved the only thing left is to get a server log from around the time you connect, which i requested from a few of the OPs online on the server, but never got a response. so i'll let bananadana or an OP deal with it i guess or as that other guy was saying just revert your player file for now, although that would prevent you from heading to your base so it's not exactly a solution at all

could be his chunk
I'd like to join you guys but at this point I'd be late and probably playing alone Anyone up to play? I'm pretty new to it, last time I played super modpacks was the release of FTB. I'm Mkader in the server PM me
on the off chance that it's my chunks causing the problems i disabled my chunk loader a little bit ago my chunks may or may not unload until the next restart, so we'll have to wait for another 30 minutes or so to really tell if it really is my chunks that is causing this then i'll have to look into getting an AE2 setup in it's place While i was taking the chunk loader down there was something odd that i noticed. The server was lagging extremely badly, RAM had 1.3GB unused, TPS was 18+, chat was instantaneous, but doing any action like mining or opening a chest had a delay of 30+ seconds. I'm pretty sure the only thing that would cause this is an over-saturated disk I/O, or at the very least a failing disk. Which means a ton of block updates are happening somewhere, or someone else on the node is hammering the disk. honestly at this point i don't even know anymore this shit is wack [editline]22nd December 2014[/editline] also thanks for the tip about enderIO item conduits cavedweller just tested it out now in singleplayer and this will help me out so much tried using "extra utilities" pipes to sort this shit and that is the worst experience
Yeesh. A restart used to help the time outs and i'm not timing out, but you can still see the server lagging.
This is the way the world ends: not with a bang but a stutter.
today i managed to swap out 30 blocks of flooring to not be shitty cobblestone during the immense buttcrippling lag!!! ~progress~ i also managed to reach below -9000 y coordinate from login lag [t]http://i.imgur.com/2BDcvIM.png[/t] i ended up at around -18500 before finally getting disconnected [editline]23rd December 2014[/editline] bonus picture dump i wish i could get you a picture of the flooring i replaced but the server is tanking too hard atm so have some old screenshots from earlier today instead cramped logistics pipe central tesseract and control room [t]http://i.imgur.com/eYMgvlG.png[/t] my massive bigreactor powering everything [t]http://i.imgur.com/umzSPRu.png[/t] my farm growing shit at crazy hyperspeed. bonemeal/water is getting fed into the sprinklers, and fertilizer usually gets sent as well. but seeing as our cows keep getting nuked i can't keep fertilizer for very long [t]http://i.imgur.com/HpDwpnd.jpg[/t] i tried prevent my cows from leaving by using conveyor belts but they still serenly skedaddled [t]http://i.imgur.com/QJxRpmc.png[/t] my totally amazing mob farm that gave me more than 300+ enderman heads [t]http://i.imgur.com/ofYs0hH.png[/t] the stats of my "main" logistics pipe that is between all of my tesseracts [t]http://i.imgur.com/cv0lYCc.png[/t] [editline]23rd December 2014[/editline] fuck yea i logged in here's some flooring for you [t]http://i.imgur.com/LY4iaYC.png[/t] enjoy~~
the server needs more ram
How can I donate?
the server needs more ram
The server/pack needs some optimizing, ram isn't the real issue.
Pay me emone plz But yeah, the pack needs someone to maintain, and I don't have the time. Moridin should be getting used to running opis and profiling for overly laggy structures, but if I need to do it myself one in a while, I can too
When I try and run this modpack with the Technic launcher it just crashes. Anyone that can help?
When I try and run this modpack with the Technic launcher it just crashes. Anyone that can help?
have you tried step 4 in the OP?
Happy Christmas Eve everyone. Today we rolled out a minor/major addition to the panel. A log parser! [thumb]http://adamnetwork.com/adamdump/ScreenShot785.png[/thumb] (Used Technicalia as the example). Will work on adding Crash-Logs into it also.
I'm pretty sure the server is unplayable for most at the moment. We should consider not only a map reset but a mod pack adjustment or server upgrades. I want to play but it's impossible to even when the server is up.
No serious, how do I donate? I just got a big christmas bonus and I could drop $100 towards funding a better server.
PM me if you're actually serious [editline]25th December 2014[/editline] Or add me on steam
$100 down. Let's get more RAM. [editline]27th December 2014[/editline] Also, who's interested in a world reset?
I was just going to ask if people want one. Reset No reset, less uptime
If the reset happen plz update every mods so if one of them change the world gen it would be ok
$100 down. Let's get more RAM. [editline]27th December 2014[/editline] Also, who's interested in a world reset?
4GB is the MAX he needs. After that i really would enjoy helping Banandana and using my minions to help with figuring whats going wrong. Apart from the 41k entities.
guys did I mention that we're ? [editline]27th December 2014[/editline] Adam has been a huge help.
4GB is the MAX he needs. After that i really would enjoy helping Banandana and using my minions to help with figuring whats going wrong. Apart from the 41k entities.
our entities hovers around 10k most of the time, if even that chunks loaded hovers around 1k like usual after the chunk loader wipe ram has 1GB free most of the time, so even at 3GB the server is fine. not sure why you guys are still going on about RAM when it's already been confirmed that it's not the problem network I/O seems to be fine as well, seeing as chat messages are instantaneous even when the server lag is happening and the TPS is still near maxed at all times. from what i've overheard from OPs, the CPU is greatly underutilized so that's not really a bottleneck either. Although it's possible that forge bugged out and is throttling itself somehow have you ran diagnostics on the HDD/SSD recently? main thing is that the lag happens in massive spikes. 10-50 seconds of being able to do nothing, then 10 seconds or so of lag free play. [editline]27th December 2014[/editline]
I was just going to ask if people want one. Reset No reset, less uptime
i'd be fine with a reset if i can get most of my basic materials after the reset like, "essence orb [WIP]", "master infusion stone", enchanted "essence infused pickaxe", "MFR planter/fertilizer/harvester" with "emerald upgrades", the grind for magic crops is unreal and i'd rather not go through that again i spent a lot of time fucking around with my base, and i'd rather not lose it, but if it's wiped i'll just try and join up with someone else who's fine with having magic crops already maxed out
You're free to join up with me and jeth, but we'll probably be doing the slow grind. With chunk loaders and automated farms it's just a matter of time bro.

[editline]27th December 2014[/editline]
I meant tiles. Which sits at 41k atm. I need to look back into my copy of YCP i gutted cause we had a useful mod that ran with opis that basically turned some of its buttons into commands to help purge the map of entities/tiles/whatever else it did. We do not regularly run diagnostics on our Hard Drives or SSD's as it is really only needed when ones messing up (And running it while tons of services are running will cause problems itself).
