So I decided to do some tests in singleplayer with the Chromaticraft tile accelerators. A fully upgraded (9 speed/9 energy) elite smelting factory from Mekanism, without any tile accelerators, takes 12 seconds to process an entire stack of iron ore (with auto-sort on). With the 2x accelerator, this is reduced to 6 seconds. Now, take the entire process of tripling ores (purification chamber>crusher>enricher>smelter), which normally takes around 34 seconds (each machine fully upgraded and with auto sort on). With the 2x accelerator this get's shortened to around 18, providing you your power source and item transfer are able to keep up. Note that accelerators only speed up items right next to them so the best setup would be to surround the accelerator with the 4 ore processing machines then using enderio item conduits with fully upgraded speed. http://puu.sh/espu7.jpg Anything over 4x is probably overkill, as the power source and item transfer will have issues keeping up.
Is the server currently restarting, or did it crash?
It seems to have a problem starting up sometimes. It should be back in a minute.
Anything over 4x is probably overkill, as the power source and item transfer will have issues keeping up.
tesseract the items/power accelerate the item conduits accelerate the power source as well accelerate all the things you'd also be better off using rotarycraft's ore quintupler with the accelerators tho especially since a silk touched emerald/diamond ore has a chance of getting 9x(?) duplication although since we also have magic crops that doesn't matter all that much, unless someone was really against using it
Im working on it, shouldnt be long [editline]13th January 2015[/editline] All fixed
Hit an enemy with a TC scythe, game crashed.

yo so there seems to be a bug with magic crops elemental seeds and the MFR planter if you use fire/water seeds, they turn into fire-resistance/water-breathing seeds when planted earth seeds are perfectly fine, and i'd assume air is as well [t]http://i.imgur.com/Gf8KOxq.png[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/SPu7Pdw.png[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/GLbEGNc.png[/t]
Yeah, we had that problem in our last farm. Just had to do the elements manually.
is it possible you guys could add Progressive Automation? it's probably the most balanced mod out there www.minecraftforum.net/forums/mapping-and-modding/minecraft-mods/2076388-progressive-automation-upgradeable-machines
Last I heard, Mekanism's power cables were rather crap and laggy. Has that changed, or which cable should I use instead?
Ender IO Power Conduits are pretty rad. Stacks in the same "block" as their item and liquid conduits.
if it's strictly for power then either EnderIO, or simply a ton of tesseracts adjacent to your machines and power source for item transfer, enderIO has a decent amount of control even without item filters, and enderIO with the various filters can do quite a lot. If you need even more control than that, then logistics pipes would be my next item transfer cable. fluid transfer would probably be logisitics fluid pipes, followed by enderIO pressurized fluid conduits redstone transfer is enderIO insulated redstone conduits, thanks to being able to carry 16 individual signals in a single block routed to wherever you want them
you don't know the final tier of enderio fluid conduits
Progress on foresting the area around the spawn farm tower has gone well thus far; as good a use as any for the stacks of saplings I get when collecting building materials. Working on an underground base as well, although i'm tempted to ditch it and go looking for a properly big mountain to stick one under. The entrance is temporary until I can wrap my head around a 3x3 piston door setup, and the WIP stairwell both reaches the bedrock and the top of the hill the base is built into. It's rather nice that chiselled cobblestone looks a lot better than chiselled stone, saves me having to smelt the stuff. First 4 pics show the same area at different stages.
The entrance is temporary until I can wrap my head around a 3x3 piston door setup
just use malisis diamond vanishing frames with a player sensor or lever/button or garage/carriage doors
i just crash the server by activating a modem (computercraft) connected to a capacitor bank for controling my big reactor i did some research and it an old CC API in ProjectRed the culprit https://github.com/MrTJP/ProjectRed/blob/master/resources/Changelog V4.5.7 fix that bug
just use malisis diamond vanishing frames with a player sensor or lever/button or garage/carriage doors
Can the vanishing frames be configured to make a sound? And can one make garage doors with custom materials?
Can the vanishing frames be configured to make a sound? And can one make garage doors with custom materials?
nope but you can always attach hidden pistons to the side of the doors if you want pistony sounds. or a simple noteblock if you want a tone and i believe we have a block that allows you to make your own sounds and play them on redstone signal, as a once-off sound or looping. i can't remember the name but try seeing what the "noteblock" is used in and you might find it. i haven't looked too much into it because i haven't really worked on cosmetics at all, valuing function over form most of the time.
Server just closed. I hope this wasn't due to me throwing myself at a pylon repeatedly.
Server just closed. I hope this wasn't due to me throwing myself at a pylon repeatedly.
it wasn't, i threw myself at pylons like 20 consecutive times one day although it was supposed to restart in 10 minutes, not right now, so that's kind of odd in other news, jex/jeth/myself now are the proud owners of over 1,600,000 spruce logs
in other news, jex/jeth/myself now are the proud owners of over 1,600,000 spruce logs
u wot I'm nowhere near you.
u wot I'm nowhere near you.
jeth AKA jethaler using /nick not jethro aka jetamo using /nick also jex = jaxstrife

Anyone else having issues finding oil [del]and MFR rubber trees[/del]? EDIT: God fucking damnit who made another fucking sacred rubber tree. [t]http://puu.sh/eAKRl.jpg[/t] [t]http://puu.sh/eAKVv.jpg[/t] Someone arm the nukes.
Yggdrasil holds the server in balance. I wouldn't destroy it if I were you.
Oh that thing could explain all the lag.
To be honest, I've not been experiencing much lag, and frequent use of /gc has reported around an average of 18-19 TPS with around 2 GB (2048 MB) of memory usage. Still, it's mildly annoying to be going around exploring, and then suddenly worldtree.

[t]http://i.imgur.com/Uwjkp1G.png[/t] Working on getting rid of the tree now. Mastfire, i swear on me mum if you do this sort of thing one more time ill do something bloody drastic and overbearing
