It looks astounding. Somebody here is already in the beta.. How's it?
I played just the tutorial, and it seemed to be really good. It felt polished and it looked like they paid attention to detail. The movement was a bit strange, you could feel the weight of the mech, but sometimes it felt really odd when doing certain things like jetpacking. Aiming also handled like using a turret, which is kinda annoying for me since I'm used to pixel perfect aiming. I'll let you guys know how it is when I play it for real tomorrow.
I have gained access thanks to intervention from beyond the scary door (Viper202, thanks man) If I get any extra codes I'll give em out on first come first serve basis since I'm too lazy to do anything elaborate.
Wow, literally signed up yesterday and got in today!
viper sent me a code and I went to log in and try registering it, and it kept telling me my password was wrong worried, I went back and tried clicking that link I mentioned, and sure enough it asked for all my info again. Took it this time though... so I guess it never took it the first time? Downloading installer now though aaaaa
The jokes on all of you you'll never be able to play it without crashing muhahahaha ha No really good luck getting it to work [editline]26th September 2012[/editline] rip in peace

Whoa, I almost missed my invite. It got dumped into the Spam folder for some reason. Oh well, downloading it now.
I've been signed up for months, no beta invite :(
Singed up for this during the first chance to do so, got my key today. So much fun
Virtually impossible to 1v1 a heavy mech regardless of how much time you shoot him before he reacts
Dunno what you're talking about because I play Infiltrator with heavy flak cannon and nade launcher and they're piss easy to take down without them even turning around to see me.
yeah somehow infiltrators can outgun heavy mechs most of the time. i've done it myself a few times.
*syncing account*
I played a bit of TDM and I can tell you the light mech is really fun to use. You can flank everyone and runway to repair yourself. In a lot of games I would end up only dying once or twice since I could always run away and repair, only to come back from their flank and fuck them up.
Finally tried it out, this game is awesome. :v:
I always end up playing with some guy who ends up with like 12/3 KD and seems to just shoot from miles away and then run 4miles if he gets damaged.
Awesome thing I like to do as Infiltrator to instagib anything that isnt a heavy mech, use nade launcher and standard nade together at the same time and if they both hit target = dead
ahhhhhhhhhhhh Just played this for the first time, and holy shit. Played the rocket guy and joined a match, instantly fell inlove with the graphics and feel. I then started shooting people and it was cool as fuck. I just kept running off and repairing when I was hurt, finished the game 9/0 Also I nearly jizzed when I found out if you press F, those huge armor plates come down over the cockpit and act as a shield while you blow the fuck out of people in turret mode.

Just played, really beautiful game. Seems to have some balance issues, the Rocketeer doesn't seem to be the tank it's appearance makes it out to be, and fuck sabot rifles. For an Alpha it's pretty good, and definitely one of the best mech games I've played. Seems way more mech-ish than MWO.
The rocketeer is amazing. Have you pressed F while using it? Trust me, it feels like a tank then.
This game is absolutely everything the hype built it up to be, even in alpha. First time in a while I've been able to say that.
hopped on at 11pm with a friend. lost track of time and got off at 2am. I have work in 4 hours. fml.
Is anyone able to give me an invite? I'm not sure if they're even doing an invite system, but I signed up ages ago and still haven't gotten in.
yeah, it seems as if it's a random drawing rather than seniority or amount of invitations sent you're just going to have to wait your turn i guess
The rocketeer is amazing. Have you pressed F while using it? Trust me, it feels like a tank then.
See, this is why I hope there's a combat simulator in the next build, because I had no idea that F did anything.
Yeah same, I just randomly pressed it and was like HOLY SHIT TURRET MODE ACTIVATE
ITT: Nobody checks their keybinds.
Yeah same, I just randomly pressed it and was like HOLY SHIT TURRET MODE ACTIVATE
Tried it, didn't seem very useful. This game has that whole "everyones guns do more damage than yours" issue that BF3 and CS:S seem to have. I really want to have fun in this game, but I can't.
