Game Error G28 after the first loading screen.
Shit. :v:

Woops apparently the servers are still offline my bad.
Bought the game last night. Still haven't been able to play since the long servers offline :c. Goddammit
Patch just got released / servers should be back online atm.
The fact that containers actually have loot now makes a huge difference, I found way more stuff than I could carry in just 4 houses.
I also found 2 pistols and a shotgun, all empty of course, but I hope they didn't increase the spawn rate of weapons like that. Melee weapons I don't mind so much but ranged weapons not being rare can turn the game in an open world deathmatch.
[editline]21st January 2015[/editline]
Played for about 2 hours and only found 4 rounds of pistol ammo, if they keep the spawn rates for ammo real low then I'd be really pleased with that personally.

The game isnt supposed to look like this right??

Nah I think they fucked up something with the lighting in the latest patch, even during the day houses are so dark you basically need a flashlight to see anything inside.
Try changing your settings off Ultra, I can see fine inside buildings, and the sun doesn't look like it's about to set the world on fire.
edit: wrong thread*
is the game any good?
is the game any good?
Yeah it's really fun. Not as much KOSing as DayZ but I still wouldn't trust everyone, always watch your back. However if you really don't want to get killed, there's servers with no PvP damage.
Lots of crafting, zombies are actually dangerous, animals. Even in its extremely early stages, but it's really good.

Might have to look into it then
Yeah it's decent. It looks like ass but the game itself is pretty good for an alpha.
Yeah it's not really a great looker but at least it runs well on high settings.
Not really bothered about graphics, tbh I found WarZ fun with a group of facepunchers otherwise it was glitchy and just shit solo. Is this a lot better than WarZ? I'm fine with paying £15 for now as I'll probably be playing it for free on PS4 with friends eventually, but I'd like to watch the development within the game.
Like people said before there's already a load of content and stuff to do in the game, especially for an alpha it's quite content-rich and functions really well overall.
Biggest problems right now are the lack of EU servers (which hopefully will be fixed sometime today) and the lighting issues (also being looked at and fixed soon).
Is this worth looking at getting in its current state or should I just wait?
What's in right now:
-8x8 km map
-200 player servers
-Hunger, hydration, stamina and health (basic)
-Crafting (quite a bit too)
-Gathering (wood, food, etc)
-A few guns
-Quite a few melee weapons
-A few vehicles
-Zombies (dumb and not a lot)
-Building (basic but functional)
-Loot in both containers (desks, crates, cars, you name it) and physically in the world
And that's pretty much all the big stuff right now... I think.
So its got more features than DayZ Standalone already.
Neat.

The only thing holding me back from buying it is the connection between the bullet hitting the zombie and death, is it a latency issue? There's a delay, which seems to be apparent in every zombie mmo game.

Well this game's guns are projectile based, but if you hit it in the head it should fall over rather quickly.
The game is really fun, I already have way too many hours in it, with it only being fully functional for about 5~ days of actual time being able to play.

Might be latency, someone from the EU playing on US or vice versa. Generally speaking zombies fall over and die almost instantly after a headshot or a killing show/blow.
Though they're working on improving that as well so I assume the delay will be even less.
Edited up about 90minutes of stuff from a session 3 days or so ago. So it's outdated but I only finally had the time to cut it up.

Well i was apart of a whole bunch of different groups total today.
First group was run by a guy who wanted to control the highest populated server, he had a base in the middle of a lake somewhere, we were all murdered in romero's by one man with an axe.
Second group was with some really nice dudes, 3 of them had guns and we attempted to get inside a base, the guy inside the base shot some of us and we got into a pretty intense showdown. In the end it was just me and one other guy, but a sniper in the woods killed me just before the guy could tell me his name on steam.
3rd group was with two younger kids, one who had just started playing. Got killed by some guys claiming to be friendly, managed to kill one of the guys with a pistol before getting shot by his friend.
Then i met up with a friend, we found two other guys who were really nice, we tried to get an airdrop but got shot at, and one of us died, RIP Sloppy.
So far my experience is that more people are willing to work together, compared to dayz which is just total KOS hellhole. Having a hell of a lot of fun with the game now.
I feel pretty silly about getting upset over the airdrop shit now, as it really doesn't effect the game as much as i first thought it would.
I wish this was free already, I want to play
I got rid of a lot of TF2 shit and got the game.
First run in with a hacker, couldn't see his username but I know I was on Lazarus (US). Guy asks me if i'm friendly, then he tries to hit me with his bow, I ran into the next room and shot him 7 times with my 1911 and he shot me once and killed me from 100%, not even a head shot, then he disappears.
Well i was looking though videos of h1z1 uploaded today, and found this video of somebody hacking.

So yeah, i guess that's what they do.
Fucking media tags, i always forget how to do them.

Well shit, this just put me off from wanting to play the game today.

Smedley recently tweeted that they have a batch of 150 people being banned today for hacking. So they are doing something about it.
