I got a hold of one a little while ago, it's pretty damn good. Higher velocity = less drop and less leading the target. You can move much faster while having it drawn and I'm pretty sure it draws faster as well. I also found out that you can quickdraw by loading an arrow(just hold right until ammo counter says 1/x) and then release. Wait until you have a target and hit right mouse and then left mouse almost immediately after.

Alphas are supposed to be criticized, that's the whole point.
Maybe the amount of loot is high because they're trying to get better test data on all those items, data they wouldn't get as fast if the items were as rare as they're supposed to be.

From what I can tell while following their twitter they kept raising the spawn rate of items because people kept saying there just wasn't any around aside from when a server would restart, my guess is that they weren't aware of the fact that the loot just wouldn't respawn and that it didn't end up mattering how high they put the spawn rates.
Now that the respawning has been fixed (presumably) there is just too much loot so they need to tone it back down again.

Probably. Tonight it felt a little bit less common, though pistol ammo was still plentiful and winchester was common as well. It was easy to arm yourself with a pistol and wooden bow, but I haven't seen any rifles yet. Where do they drop anyway?

then i respawned, found a shelf with a pistol + ammo, then another shelf that just kept respawning ammo right after i picked it up, ended up with like 100+ rounds for the pistol lol

Now they just have to dial it down.
Almost thirsted to death multiple times since fires are broken as fuck. Only way I've seen is to build a campfire and light it with a flare and maybe in half an hour it will light. BBQ's, furnaces all broken. Nothing at all will light with a lighter. On the bright side my group of 5 now has half a dozen 1911's, a shotgun, 2 rifles, and an AR and plenty of ammo in our player made base. And we took out a nearby base with a vantage point on us and are rebuilding their walls to make it into our secondary base.
was playin with a friend and we found a group, took control of a town for a while, lost a guy, and then met up with our group members friend where they murdered us when our backs were turned.
This game is pretty fun, nice gun sounds.

The problem with loot for me is the proximity system which fucks things up. The map is too small and the servers too cluttered for such a system to work properly.

I just hit a gold mine. Two guys who were kitted out with wooden bows and helmets were looting a store I was in, decided fuck it, not worth trying to do "friendly" pulled out my AR15 and dropped both.
The amount of loot these guys had, holy shit. 183 .223 rounds, 80 .308 rounds, 174 .45 rounds, a hunting rifle, 2 batteries, 3 m1911a1's and over 30 lighters (lolwhat).
I then right after that found some sparkplugs, so I now have 3 turbos, 4 batteries, 1 sparkplugs and a fuckload of ammo and 3 guns.
I love the new loot spawns.

I went to Pleasant Valley police station, found a ton of AR ammo that kept respawning.
SoE has come out and said that, as of jan 27th, if a player continues to exploit duping, they will ban them.

Loot is kinda too much right now, you can leave room walk 10 meters and come back to shit respawn in it, we just kinda looted 100 pistols bullets in a minute.

It's like release day again, i try and launch the game and it just shows me the H1Z1 backround image and never loads.
