Oh boy more people using early access as an excuse to buy their game and do a cheap getaway I'm sorry but this game looks bad
I like to call this game, Huh-One-Zuh-One.
Game looks better than Day Z and Day Z has had years to have been worked on.
I wonder if I can get in because I have SOE all access...
I wonder if I can get in because I have SOE all access...
https://www.soe.com/allaccess considering it says coming soon, prolly means when it's out and f2p. i doubt they'll let you in early access free. does it let you in landmark?
This thread looks like a kindergarten it's god damn pathetic. Also screw that 12 years old assclown who keeps rating people dumb because they're talking about the game... in the thread of the game. If you have interesting arguments and opinions, feel free to bring them, it would be a welcome addition since the thread is obviously pretty stale right now, otherwise get the fuck out you and your rating abuse. Now, if you really like to make shitty ass comparaisons, let me give you some concrete facts : - 200 players per servers confirmed for early access, thanks to Forgelight Engine ( Planetside 2 engine ) they plan to bring 2000 players per server, the only reason they're not doing that just yet is because of the actual map size, too small for so much players - Actual working zombies, actual hordes of zombies, actual dangerous zombies, they don't go through walls, they don't sperg around and they have a probability to loot ammo / other stuff on death - We'll see how the game handles itself from a technical standpoint, but according to the recent stream, the game was silky smooth ( and not the console type of silky smooth, i'm talking about 60 FPS or more ) in towns and outside of towns, thanks to a game based on a engine which isn't shit - 8x real season cycle. 8 full cycles of the 4 seasons per year in real time. In other words, approximately every week and a half, the season will change - Barricade system, you can lock up any building and make it your own, you can also build your own structures, a bit similar in what you can do in Rust, even if the system will probably lack some complexity of variety for the first months - Talking about buildings, you can loot everything inside them. from a cupboard, to a fridge, to a microwave, to the inside of a computer in a police station - You can't sever hop. Your character is tied to your server - Anti-hacking system will use the same system used in Planetside 2. And if you are familiar with the game, you would know that it's a good news. The hacking scene in PS2 is pretty much inexistant Even as an early-access game, i'm sure what we will get will be far more enjoyable and playable than DayZ in his actual state ( after one year of development ). Thanks to a proper engine. Now, if you don't like the genre, or the whole early access concept, fair enough and i can totally understand that. But if we compare H1Z1 with the other games on the market, specifically DayZ, H1Z1 shit on it any day of the week. And they're both in early access.
I been following this game for a while but i wont buy it the moment it comes out, i'l watch some streams and if it meets my expectations i'l buy it.
This looks way more promising then Day Z
I been following this game for a while but i wont buy it the moment it comes out, i'l watch some streams and if it meets my expectations i'l buy it.
I'm not sure what you're looking for in the game (pvp, pve) but make sure you choose a good streamer. As I was watching the stream yesterday the people on the stream were replacing their guns with bows and guns with other guns on their /secondary/etc slots in their inventory. Not one of them ever switched out their flashlight for a weapon. Others mistook the third person key for the inventory key... If you're into PvP make sure you find a streamer that can actually play the game well. Back when Rust was still newish, I played with Summit and he was actually a good shot and was only sitting at 500~ viewers for Rust. Now he's really taken off, but he is actually a good shot and player when it comes to these survival games. So to show the game off well it really depends on the streamer. Trying the game out by your self will (imo) obviously give you a better play experience.
Oh also the game will feature autorun.
Oh also the game will feature autorun.
i'd much prefer planetside 2 tanks [editline]10th January 2015[/editline] vroooom vrooom heavy diesel running over zeds
you guys keep bringing up dayz as if a game being better dayz is a huge accomplishment, dayz is a steaming pile of shit so being better than it means literally nothing
you guys keep bringing up dayz as if a game being better dayz is a huge accomplishment, dayz is a steaming pile of shit so being better than it means literally nothing
Which is true. But everyone will keep bringing DayZ anyway, so at least let's try to put things in a clear way.
DayZ has its flaws, but I wouldnt call it a big piece of shit IMO
Would you prefer people to bring up [del]WarZ[/del] Infestation: Survivor Stories?
you guys keep bringing up dayz as if a game being better dayz is a huge accomplishment, dayz is a steaming pile of shit so being better than it means literally nothing
honestly i have no idea how dayz became as popular as it did other than it was a new idea. it doesn't matter if it's a new idea: it's a flawed idea. it's like a free market or a communist economy: they're great on paper but when you add the "people" factor it turns to shit. dayz is a great game for being as basic as it is, but the community is so hit and miss that it's hard to enjoy. especially if you have to slave over pretty much everything in the game just to have it all taken away from you in a flash will this game be better? who knows. but it IS fair to call it a dayz style game because it is. if dayz didn't come in to exsistence then games like rust and h1z1 would have never been thought of either, and if they did, they would definitely be under better pretenses than they are now. does this game have the potential to be good? absolutely, so long as there's bumpers in place to keep the community from taking a diarrhea dump on itself
Would you prefer people to bring up [del]WarZ[/del] Infestation: Survivor Stories?
Well the gunplay/Syncing in ISS is better than DayZ so perhaps? Although due to its bad reputation it would be best not.
Actually, I haven't checked on it since Halloween last year. I was one of the people that bought into early access so I should still be able to look into the game. [editline]wellthen[/editline] Looks like they're doing a remake / V2 of the game now

Hackers have been reduced but they still exist an pratically show themselves for attention. The company/sergei fucked off and left a small team to look after ISS as they're currently making a new/remake called infestation new beginnings which current owners will obtain for free. They recently increased the server rental price so it costs $100 a month for a server which people believe it's trying to stop people from purchasing servers for ISS and to than migrate to INB. Streamers of ISS is currently the only good thing at the moment.

Hopefully I can still exploit zombies by climbing on a van.
Im actually looking forward to hizi, been waiting for it a while. I also own Dayz and Warz/Infestation out of which Warz is better imo, mostly because of controls. H1Z1 looks to be kinda like Warz 2.0, it has similar inventory to Dayz but otherwise seems more like Warz with some additional features. One thing that bothers a bit is KoS (kill on sight), one of biggest issues with previous z survival games. Based on the pre-ea streem they did not long ago, this game will be the biggest KoS fest so far, even worse than Warz. Seems to be possible to pretty much ignore everything else but players, we can shoot at players while dehydrated, starving and chased by zombies.
I hate to sound like a pretentious dick by why won't the generic zombie shooter genre just die already
Because it's extremely fun when it's well done. Like everything in every genre.
I guess I'll never see the point as I'm from games that are PvP and they feel much more rewarding than shooting bad-on-purpose AI.
I'm not saying that its absolute shit, but imo they could've at least tried to make it different. Because it does look extremely generic. I mean, they could've at least been more creative with the logo: [t]http://static.giantbomb.com/uploads/original/0/8169/2631169-z2wyjfi.jpg[/t] [t]http://vignette3.wikia.nocookie.net/left4dead/images/2/24/L4D_black.png/revision/latest?cb=20100909155703[/t]

I've always called this Rust 2.0, but it may have similarities to War Z. I know everyone calls KoS a problem in these games, but it's probably one of the most "realistic" things when it comes to an apocalypse. My favorite part of this game is that they're going to have servers where you can build your name/group name just like the old Rust[browser] had. The new rust let players get their own servers and now the community is far too divided. The group I was apart of is getting back together for this game and I can't wait.
There are going to be 150-200 servers at launch, devs just said
Tomorrow at noon the game is available! Really excited about this, a bunch of my old buddies from Rust are getting back together, already have a spot picked out on the map, and are excited to finally be all back together.
Got 8€ in my steam wallet, hope the 'standard' early access cost something like that, but who am i kidding i'l probably short :(
