Anyone wanna get me H1Z1 and I'll return the favor tomorrow no questions asked?
It doesnt work this way.

People have hard time playing MMO not even 3 hours after actual launch. More at 11.
welp it's already further along than dayz
seriously how embarrassing it must be for those who work on dayz
Watched plenty of footage from the dev streams and early streamer things but I'm going to wait until I can see streams running the fabled "EA ready" version before buying this.

Hmm, I guess there are people who got in. Looks pretty developed already.
seriously how embarrassing it must be for those who work on dayz
Not embarrassing at all?
For one, SOE has the benefit of owning several sucsessful IPs and designed the engine they are working on themselves.
The face palming moment for the DayZ devs happened when they realize they shouldn't be using such a shit engine and kept steaming ahead anyway.

Should i be hyped or is it a broken pos right now?

Servers are dead, so you most likely won't be able to get in a game.
Servers are dead, so you most likely won't be able to get in a game.
Hurray! good to know
Seems players have used the airdrop option which dropped at their feeting giving them AR rifles with ammo and backpacks.
People are now claiming P2W

Not really since its more of how you use those weapons than anything else.

Airdrop should be randomly dropped around the map, not at their feet.
That was wonderful 4 hours. So far it blows DayZ out the water. Zombies are hard to kill, animals are dangerous, loot is rare, lots of crafting, multiple types of car, good mix of friendly and non-friendly people.
Lets just hope that they fix the servers so everyone can enjoy it.

Can't even launch now as it will exit with Error G99 immediately.
Can't even launch now as it will exit with Error G99 immediately.
You're getting that error because the servers are dead, yeah.

According to Smedly, they're hooking up some more server Hardware as we speak.

They're not dead, they just block logins while the maintenance happens. I was still able to play as were many others.

I know it's too early to tell. But is this worth the $20 dollars, from what little has been played so far?

Weird, might be a bug.
But crates have a chance of spawning guns, and they should spawn randomly around the map.
(atleast that's what the devs say)

They actually just made a post from all the info they've gotten so far.

My god this place is so much more refreshing to talk about the game than the H1Z1 subreddit.
The Airdrops are random and player initiated events. The idea is that you pay some sort of currency to make something happen in the world. Ideally, this doesn't mean you drop an entire arsenal at your feet. Yes, the potential gain from an airdrop could be considerable, but at the same time, it is also supposed to be heavily contested and fought over.
To me, this isn't Pay 2 Win. This is Pay 2 potentially weaken/strengthen the players in the drop zone. Or Pay 2 get wrecked.
The airdrops themselves seem like they can be very easily tweaked by SOE. However, it seems like the rabid mongloids over in the subreddit are incapable of logic or common sense and insist that SOE and Smedley have betrayed them.
I mean seriously. What sort of stupid fucking scam would that be. SOE claims repeatedly that H1Z1 is not a P2W game. They spend months working on the game, with the singular goal of introducing airdrops and ramming the fucking thing into the ground the day after it hits Early Access.
Then what? All the H1Z1 Devs and Smedley just disappear to Russia or Antarctica or Saturn or some shit? Seriously?

It's fucking Pay 2 Win when the Airdrop lands 5 feet away from you.
Finally I can get to the splash screen, only to get kicked out not by G99, but by it saying that my station account doesn't have access to H1Z1, jesus christ I only have one SOE account that I've ever used for only Planetside 2 and this. Submitted a support ticket but from my experience with any customer support i'll probably find myself waiting a week or so for any response that actually fixes it.

It's a bug many people are getting.

Well that's relieving, this isn't the worst launch I've seen, although the amount of people who don't get what early access is is ridiculous.
pretty sure the pay to win thing is actually mentioned on the game's page.

I got in and streamed for a bit
game is awful at this stage
some peeps were cool, others trash
no loot, very empty
very glitchy
ps. I recommend 7 Days to this any day

He isn't kidding. I don't see anything in this game's future other than KOS-city like in the other zombie games.

You're acting like that was designed or the intentional function of this mechanic. That is profoundly stupid of you.

To be honest, I really don't understand how people could have seen this going any other way.
We have gotten to the point in this genre where the last vestiges of cooperation in the early game are all but gone. Problem with games like this is that there is really no reason or incentive for you to trust a person you do not know.
At least from my perspective, trying to make truces with randoms is far more stressful than simply playing with friends and killing people that get in the way.

Do you think the lack of loot was due to the high player count, or just poorly places spawns?
In the twitch caster promotional event, loot didn't seem to be too hard to come by, but they also probably had a fraction of the people online.
The thing is, the KOS system could be solved by just adding something that either reduces the chance of killing or makes killing a hard thing to do. Either:
A. Make guns plentiful but ammo scarce
or
B. Implement a mental state meter. It's the apocalypse, everyone's freaking the fuck out. The more people you kill, the more insane you become, meaning you have worse aim or something.

C. not making a game when there's already a dozen and a half carbon copies in development
D. make factions so not every player in the game are hostile towards one another
E. not making a game without shitty core elements that developers KEEP USING
F. having a real plan for development. how long do they think consumers will care about this game? like honestly, by the time they've got a functional version out it's going to be long forgotten
G. have i mentioned zomboid??? maybe they should play a real game and take notes
