What is it made of? Looks like thick foam mats and absolute magic.
I'm interested as I'm planning to put together a Sven costume.

I see enough of it on /v/, but it's always good for a laugh.

Oh my Christ. The one on healers is fucking pathetic.
Like, I imagine Morello sticking his tongue out and making farting noises with it as he flips his middle finger at the screen as if that is his argument against them.

Hadn't seen that last one before, and I actually cringed reading it.

morello was always known to be a retard though
love how he's fairly low in the LoL ranked system and yet he's the one that works on balancing the game, meaning riot often has to ask for help from the higher ranked players

I see at least two of these images every time I go into a LoL vs. Dota thread on /v/
the "why would you unlock every hero?" argument still makes me chuckle to myself

I remember talking about Dota to a few LoL-playing friends at school and they legitimately used this argument.
I just can't for the life of me see why you'd defend it.

Easier for new players to handle. When they join the game, they only need to learn the skills of 10 different champions, and the few ones that can be unlocked with 450 IP (you get enough IP to buy them after 2-3 games usually). DotA has over 100 heroes, and it can be really intimidating for new people to learn them all - Basically, before the limited hero gamemode was intriduced, there was a chance to see a new hero every game you played for a good while. Usually you ended up seeing several new guys each game you played.
My LoL playing friend can't get behind the fact that you need to PAY for recalls/TPs and that you have to walk all the way back to base to heal
It's not really a great system (especially with how costly champions are with the in game currency), but it does have a few good things about it. It really makes people take more time to learn each champion. I mean, every Dota game right after a new hero comes out there's that one guy who has no idea what he's doing because it's his first time playing that hero, and you see that a little less in LoL
Also because you can also buy champions with irl money, and since LoL is Riot's only source of revenue (unlike Valve who won't just shut down after people stop playing Dota 2), they take most of the opportunities they have to make profit.

No, you really don't.
idk man, i havent seen one for quite some time
[editline]15th August 2013[/editline]
i mean yeah i see one every once in a while but its not like dota 2 where i'm 100% sure there's gonna be one after a hero is released
No, you really don't.
But the thing is, in Dota a new guy can try someone who looks cool like Bane, and then he has no idea how to effectively play that hero, and so he tries someone else next game. Same thing repeats.
LoL puts a limit to how long you can repeat that, and when you inevitably see the same 10 guys over and over again over the course of the next 1-7 days, you learn their gimmicks much faster.
But then again, once the week changes and the next 10 champions get on the roll, the cycle of "how do I play this guy" can be repeated. Both of these games are intimidating for people new to the genre.

thats their own fault for not reading up on the game beforehand, especially one so complex
yes it is, but that doesnt really change his argument at all
My absolute biggest problem with League, even though I can enjoy it every now and then, is that you can't fucking click and champ and learn what the hell they do. I'm like level 21 and I still find myself saying "What the fuck happened to me?" I can't be arsed to go the the shop and learn their moves through their lame explanations. I do believe the only chance you get to learn about an enemy's move is whenever you die and you hit the log button.
yes it is, but that doesnt really change his argument at all
it does though
his entire argument is based on people who are too idiotic to read up beforehand, which is what, barely anyone these days. people dont need their hand held every step of the way

I don't know about this one. Sure, he may be retarded in the other ones, but he's kind of right here. If the concept behind an idea is good, why should you not use it just because "oh it's like this one in another game". If it's good, balanced, and works well, why should you care if it's unoriginal. Note that this doesn't mean that it's okay to have multiple heroes that are exactly the same, so please don't interpret this as that.

He's a designer. He's supposed to create something new and entertaining, although it's fine if some idea was borrowed from somewhere else.
The problem is that he cares "very, very little about originality." He's at least supposed to have some originality, that's the whole point of his job.
Without any originality they wouldn't need any designers.
Doto 2 shirt I made for BF as gift. I almost kept it for myself :v:

PS: if you guys are interested I'll throw in link for redbubble.com, and don't worry it's better quality than this one above (since it's not local print shop in question)!

Is it just me, or does Bloodseeker seem to be paraded as one of the more iconic Dota heroes?
[editline]15th August 2013[/editline]
Which is absolutely hilarious because he's easily the worst hero in the game.
