Exactly. Timbersaw is fun to play with the sound off, but with the sound on he's amazing!

Think of the Radiant and the Dire as a force that manipulates the hero under its will.
Also, think about it this way; do you think these characters, by nature, have a 100% friendship with one another? There is always some difference between one hero and the other, a few ideals and beliefs that aren't agreed on, and this slight difference can be what drives them to fight, or is ampified and converted into a reason to wage conflict by the Radiant or Dire Ancient.
You also can apply this to relationships with any friend; You will probably not be 100% friends with them, and there will be beliefs you don't see the same coin to.
