Im expressing my opinion and im not forcing it onto people. To me Pflax is terribly unfunny and I think 80% of the lines from his announcer are really unfitting. So for that reason I dont like the announcer. You cant really blame me for not liking when something i dislike goes into the game.

Otherwise, congratulations to his fans it it actually goes into the game files.

And all I am trying to express is that people have no (good) reason to complain about the voice pack, if you don't like it that's coolio but don't just claim its the worst thing thematically unless you can really back it up(I am not actually talking about you). Also if you aren't a fan because of its out of game style what are your opinions on the original dota announcer or the fact it constantly says "X JUST GOT PWNED!" or for that matter the Bastion Announcer. Dota should keep its art style and theme, I agree but I don't feel it should be entirely set in stone, specially for things like announcer packs and hud skins.

If this is unfitting then so's the bastion announcer pack as he is CLEARLY from another game and even references bastion on more than one occasion. He also makes mention of supports and how nobody is playing them and other such fourth wall breaking stuff.

Go ahead, equip the bastion announcer pack and type GG in chat two or three times.

Badass voice or no, the bastion announcer pack is just as out of place as Pflax.

Honestly, while I never found Pyrion Flax funny, I could at least understand why some people liked him.

But this announcer pack is just stupid, really. It's the kind of humor 10 year olds would enjoy.

One thing is dota lore the other is the text when you kill someone. I mean the kill text says " X pwned X" but you dont see the heroes spewing out "OMG NOOB I OWNED U!!!" in their voicelines (they didnt add those troll voicelines!). The mega-kills however are just there to hype people up when they kill people.

Im pretty fine with what ever commentator they put in for the Mega-kills since its gonna be a short, cool or funny line that wont bother me if its bad.

But hearing "you got the omelet... [I][B][U]YOU GOT THE OMELET[/U][/B][/I]!!!!!!!" while playing would be too much for me.

It isn't anywhere as big a deal as people are making it out to be imo, sure it's not exactly uh, fitting but it's awesome to see some famous community member interaction. For example, League of Legends players have been crying out for videogamedunkey to voice a new champ for months which I'd be down for. The models and stuff that make it into dota won't be lore/art-breaking or whatever, valve said something about that.

To be fair, one of these heroes is a wizard who wields a stick, a cape and some stylish pants. The other is a scientist based around having lots of mechanical workings and not using magic. This isn't a fair comparison.

I just don't even sometimes.[/QUOTE]Because Tinker is a separate hero with a different theme. I don't think most people who said that are saying that it doesn't belong in Dota 2 at all, it just doesn't fit with Pugna. He channels energies through diabolic arcane artifacts, not machines.

Not to say your nether ward looks bad, I'd just agree with the high-tech comments as those glowy triangles and circle look like the stuff that's used to make things look sci-fiy and the sort of perfect shape of it. It needs to look more crafted, warped, and imperfect rather than built.
