It's not like people are really basing entire team comps to specifically abuse these tactics. Most of the time, they are replicated through quick-thinking or pure luck. You can't just say that a player is a poor sport because of their ability to adapt to an extremely specific situation.

What makes you say that? There have been many real sports that when they first appeared were always just called 'kids games' and weren't taken seriously for a very long time. But eventually people got over that shit.
