Did you update your CC details at the order page?
I had to input them again, nothing was saved. I did three times. First time it declined, 2nd it said duplicate order, but it didn't take any money. Third time it declined again.

got the email, I think I'm in the first shipment which is great because one of my cats managed to knock my oculus case off my desk, open it, then gnaw through the one irreparable cable on my DK1, between the HMD and the controller box there's a dozen individually shielded wires in the cable and half of them have duplicate colors so I'm not sure there's much I can do about splicing them back together correctly. I'll give it a shot at least

They were there last year, but they had a private room with a paper sign on the door and you were supposed to knock on it. No presence on the floor other than that. If they do that again, don't fall for it.
...what email did you get, dai?
...what email did you get, dai?
Don't think it's the shipment email, otherwise the Oculus subreddit would be on fire.
Bought a wheel for some DK2 racing action.
If I order Oculus Rift Dev Kit 2 now from the UK, when realistically could I expect it to arrive?
If I order Oculus Rift Dev Kit 2 now from the UK, when realistically could I expect it to arrive?
September.
September.
Ordered Edit: or not, just checked VAT and delivery costs. 350$ went up to 462$.. Fuck that
Bought a wheel for some DK2 racing action.
What wheel?
They'll show up at gamescom too apparently, getting so hype for the low chance of getting to experience a Rift for my first time! They have their events listed here if you're planning to go anywhere soon.
What wheel?
Driving Force GT. I'm not a hardcore racing simmer so I don't need $200-300 G27s and shit, this will do the job just fine.
Driving Force GT. I'm not a hardcore racing simmer so I don't need $200-300 G27s and shit, this will do the job just fine.
I've got a Driving Force Pro myself and it's a damn good wheel, good choice.
Driving Force GT. I'm not a hardcore racing simmer so I don't need $200-300 G27s and shit, this will do the job just fine.
I've been looking at those. How do they feel, compared to the G27, and how does it all feel compared to an actual steering wheel?
There's a Dutch VR Meetup on Friday August 1st, in Amsterdam: http://www.meetup.com/Dutch-VR-Meetup/events/185836102/ Whole bunch of VR enthusiasts attending. Me included.

Last year they didn't expect too many people and well... we all know how that went.

Anyways, if you can find/ask for a specsheet you could remove the entire cable to trace and repair the wires. :)
I've been looking at those. How do they feel, compared to the G27, and how does it all feel compared to an actual steering wheel?
So far, it feels pretty great. Can't personally compare to the G27 because I've never tried it, but from what other people have said, the G27 has 1) almost completely silent turning (the DFGT makes a whining noise when you turn it because of the gear-based system) 2) much better materials used, the DFGT is mostly plastic while the G27 has a fair bit of metal and much better pedals (the DFGT pedals are one of the weak points)
Are there any wheels that arent $100+? And they better ship tomorrow or orkel will have to change the title again
https://developer.oculusvr.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=10710 Thursday's the day.
sure is going to be fun getting hyped as fuck watching other people play with their rift while I wait eagerly for my august delivery
I ordered March 26. Hope I made it in.
I needed something to break the tension of sticking back a considerable sum of money under my mattress for a CV1, so I bought a 3DS XL. Should keep my mind off the thing until they announce something.
the XL is lovely so much battery life; it lasts fucking forever on full brightness [editline]22nd July 2014[/editline] too bad that the bigger screens have the same number of pixels and thus a lower pixel density but it doesn't harm it really due to the already simplistic graphics that the games make good use of
