cv1 is going to be melon powered with a mango compatible screen and a comfortable apple/banana strap.
it will also have ports so you can plug in other fruits such as grapefruit and oranges.

I think it does have positional tracking, though. I was reading a Kotaku article about Elite: Dangerous in the Rift the other day, and the guy said he was able to lean in the cabin.

DP is just a better connector than HDMI for a lot of reasons. it has a better mini-version than HDMI too (Thunderbolt/MiniDP)

This is starting to get so frustrating.
Apparently orders as late as the 1st of May have just started going out in Europe today, but Australia is still stuck at the 21st of March, where we've been sitting for the past 2 weeks almost.

Yeah this is pretty painful to be still waiting while the rest of the world is getting their rifts. I'm not sure what went wrong but it needs to be fixed asap.
And considering that us Aussies have to pay close to $500 after shipping and tax (There have also been reports of people being charged an extra $20/30 on top of that when their unit has been processed), it's pretty crap that we have been set as such a low priority.
I'm very disappointed so far.

Just got home from holidays and found my 'replacement' DK2 panel covers waiting for me, along with some awesome Oculus/VR stickers! I've not seen them around before, I'll post pictures tomorrow, I'm so tired right now

Got mine in yesterday, but didn't have a chance to set it up until tonight. Played around with TF2 for a little bit, and that was neat. Got about 30-40ish minutes before I started to get sick. Going to get the UE4 stuff set up and maybe that Quake 2 mod I'd been hearing about so I can mess around in those.
The demo scene on the runtime is what sold me most, though. It wasn't much just kinda looking around at the table, but when I leaned in to look at the house of cards, my mind and body instantly went "Whoa, you're not at your usual desk anymore". I had to take a second to find everything again.
