Viscera Cleanup Detail needs OR support. I don't know what it is but something about organizing and cleaning stuff, even in a video game, is very therapeutic for me. Maybe if VCD had proper OR support I'd actually play it again.
Up for a little bit of multiplayer?
mine freezes up if I try joining open play, have to play solo til they patch it I've been in the rift for hours moving my head a LOT, looking above and behind me like an idiot all the time, and I've been drinking heavily, and still don't feel motion sick. the 6DOF is a godsend

wont play for me [editline]4th September 2014[/editline] Never mind
When are those that ordered for the September shipping likely to receive the DK2?
When are those that ordered for the September shipping likely to receive the DK2?
At this rate for australians...November.
What about UK?
What about UK?
late september / november most likely. I ordered on the 27th of june. Still not processing.
Anybody know where they're up to for US orders yet?
I seem to have fixed my vertical tearing issues by changing the FPS setting in the Nvidia control panel from "application controlled" to "highest available", so that's a good thing. [editline]7th September 2014[/editline] for some reason only in certain demos though
any idea when oculus rifts might ship that were ordered around the 27th of june?
I ordered mine on june 16 and it just shipped
TF2 VR doesn't work for me anymore... Started to get this issue "Unable to get VRModeAdapter from OpenVR. VR mode will not be enabled. Try restarting and then enabling VR" Anyone else?
Everyone hoping to get an nvidia 880 Ti for their oculus is apparently fucked [sp]Nvidia is calling their next line of desktop gpus the 9xx series for no fucking reason[/sp]
Everyone hoping to get an nvidia 880 Ti for their oculus is apparently fucked [sp]Nvidia is calling their next line of desktop gpus the 9xx series for no fucking reason[/sp]
I've already got my huge piles of cash lined up for a 980, don't think I'll be going for the Ti.
It's to keep in line with the mobile chips.
Same thing happened with the 300 series. Only existed in mobile form as rebranded 200 series chips.
They had an old DK1 at SLC Comic Con and I got to try it for a few minutes. I only was able to use it for about 3 minutes, and the effect was kind of ruined by the deafening convention floor, but it was still pretty great. They were running some planetary simulation. I will say though, I'm glad I'm waiting for the CV, because the screen door and low res was pretty annoying.
If anybody is interested, you can download my WizardVR demo here: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/31807480/projects/wizardvr/Builds/WizardVR.zip I made it as a final year project for my Computer Science course. I have never used Unity before so it was a learning experience and pretty rough all around. The game requires a Razer Hydra to play, and a Rift obviously. Would like to hear any feedback, should I continue with the game? Or just start over?
I've already got my huge piles of cash lined up for a 980, don't think I'll be going for the Ti.
I have filled my personal vault at the bank with 100€ bills, I think I have about half the money required for a 980 at the moment.
I had to change my delivery address slightly due to a typo, you don't think that some how fucked with the delivery date do you do you do you fuck
I had to change my delivery address slightly due to a typo, you don't think that some how fucked with the delivery date do you do you do you fuck
Unless it's shipped or your order number suddenly changed, I highly doubt it.
I had to change my delivery address slightly due to a typo, you don't think that some how fucked with the delivery date do you do you do you fuck
I work in a shipping warehouse, and when things like this happen there, unless the order has already been scanned in and packaged, it does not delay the process of sending it out.
I work in a shipping warehouse, and when things like this happen there, unless the order has already been scanned in and packaged, it does not delay the process of sending it out.
When I changed it, it was still pending. I hope it's ok. Thank you and the poster above.
Regarding Australian shipping.
"cybereality" Very sorry about this guys. I have gotten word that the situation will be solved VERY SOON. We have over 300 units in the country now waiting to be processed. And we have another 500 units on the way there. So Australians may be getting shipping emails as soon as later this week. Certainly by the end of next week we should be in a much better situation. I do understand that this was not a good customer experience, but we will do what we can to fix this problem ASAP. Thanks guys.
800dk2's :v: Hopefully this pulls us upto Early June.
Orkel you're one crazy son of a bitch with those hydras
Orkel you're one crazy son of a bitch with those hydras
So that 3X guy was you eh. Was a fun night.
When I changed it, it was still pending. I hope it's ok. Thank you and the poster above.
Yeah, they most likely have a system that notifies them of any changes of address. Just to be safe, I'd shoot them an e-mail to confirm that it's been updated.
Regarding Australian shipping. 800dk2's :v: Hopefully this pulls us upto Early June.
I ordered mine on the 3rd of June or something like that so I didn't expect it to arrive a over the past couple months. It's nice to hear they are sending heaps over here though. What is lucky in our position though is that the drivers, games and software available will be much better than the people who received their Oculus Rifts early so we should have an easier/better first experience.
and hooray australian orders have caught up by a month! finally. My 28th order just changed to processing
