The retro arcade really is amazing. One of those rare demos where the DK2's resolution does not matter in the slightest, everything feels solid.

I keep telling you guys project cars is the best simulator.

I think its because unreal 4 is amazing looking with little effort. Unity not so much
Can't wait for more unreal demos
Built my new computer last night.
Didn't start up. Will investigate further when I get home tonight.

That's just the worst.

I had the same problem, turned out the cable that connects the MOBO and power button wasn't plugged in well enough.

Does it power on and beep? Pull out your mobo manual, those beeps mean something.
If its a RAM issue it could just be an issue with one stick. Try them one at a time to figure out which stick is the issue.
Not home yet to diagnose, but simply nothing happened when I pressed the power on. No light or sound.
The system case cables were all black, all I had to tell positive and negative for the power button etc was a small arrow triangle over one pin hole on each cable. Was I right to think the triangle was for positive?

does the motherboard manual not say?

Check if you screwed it in too tight to the case. It might be grounding itself out.
does the motherboard manual not say?
The motherboard does say the arrangement. The problem is the cabling of the computer case.
The worst part of building a computer is the fiddly little connections between the motherboard and the bits on the case.

It's actually fairly easy since it all boils down to process of elimination. Power LED not working? Flip the connectors around. Power switch not working? Flip the connectors around. HDD LED not working? Yep, flip the connectors around.
haha
oops
the power was plugged into the power LED slot

thanks for the help offers, though

9/10 times when I build a PC I swear to god I run into this exact issue and its always because one of those stupid jumper connections or cables that plug into the mobo weren't seated perfect or are the wrong pos/neg or went to the wrong (identical) spot
So I'm thinking of buying a DK2. If I go through the pre-order link on Oculus's website how long will it take to come in?

There's a estimate on the order page I believe.
[editline]9th November 2014[/editline]
"New orders are expected to ship within 6 to 8 weeks."
What are peoples current thoughts on Vorpx?

Bugger. What an anticlimax.
yeah
first custom built PC
MOMENT OF TRUTH
"..."
and later once i fixed it, i prepared for another moment of truth, all hyped for it to maybe work
press the power
oops the PSU was off
I know how you feel.
When I installed my new SSD a few days ago I had a heart-attack when my PC didn't start.
Turns out I hadn't switched my PSU back on, either.
When I built my brand new computer, after 7 years with the old heap of junk, this happened to me. When installing the PSU, I had thought about whether the switch was going to be flipped in the right way or not, and that I would need to check it if the power didn't go on when I tried firing it up a few minutes later.
That little mental note was the only thing that stopped me from having a panic attack when, inevitably, I pushed the button and nothing happened. Flicked the PSU switch, everything was awesome as expected.
I think the only thing I'll need to do to get this machine Rift-ready is to replace the video card. With two stronger video cards.
Good thing CV1 commercial launch is still a ways out, this is going to take a while.

Wait until NVIDIA perfects their VR technology. Personally I'm really attracted to the concept of using two GPUs to effectively render the image in each eye, but I don't know if that technology will function on GPUs on the market right now or only on specific models/lines in the near future.
I've just got another GTA 670, hoping that we get some driver support to render an image for each eye on each card
Hoping these 670s will tide me over till <28nm nvidia cards come out
When I built my PC everything went perfectly because I'm a genius
[sp]jk it was a nightmare[/sp]
When I built my PC, everything went perfectly, except I spent about half an hour trying to close the CPU cage because I didn't realize how hard I was supposed to push down on that little tab.

My friend had the same issue a month ago. I had to keep telling him over and over that yes, you do have to press hard on it.
I spend hours trying to get a non-stock cpu cooler on, i got it on with some help.
Also the small gaming convention my work organized was this weekend. we showed project cars and the roller coaster demo. the lines for testing were 40 minutes long yesterday.
