Alright, was curious. I will be holding off until the consumer version is released (Will also be ordering the Hydra at the same time), and was thinking about adding support to games, if I am able to. A few games I wanted compatibility for is Crysis 2 and STALKER CoP.
Has anyone done Mirrors Edge for the Rift yet?
Has anyone done Mirrors Edge for the Rift yet?
I have, not as great as I expected, but this was with that dodgy 3rd party software.
Uhm no, it wouldn't show the same thing on both screens, which hurts your head badly.
Don't know what you mean by not showing same thing on screens, but that's why I said I was guessing.
Just played through Kairo with the Rift. Very surreal experience and the sense of scale is dazzling sometimes. Recommended!

Garrysmod is the only game I know of that allows players to modify the camera and screen drawing in this way. I was just talking about what the game's creators could do.
Oculus just announced their own VR game portal, Oculus Share: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1523379957/oculus-rift-step-into-the-game/posts/573678 https://share.oculusvr.com/
I don't see the point.
making indie developed programs for the rift easily accessible.
Games for the Rift at one place, pretty good idea. Would be too hard/take too long to release those games on some big portal such as Steam, granted if the game's good it will probably get there anyway.

holy shit awesome, please crosspost to the STALKER thread
Oh man oh man oh man. There are so many games I need to play with the Oculus. And now that STALKER is a part of that list.... I don't want to rush the Oculus consumer version, but damnit, it needs to get here sooner.
Just a small question: why do they need another kickstarter, I thought they went miles past their previous kickstarter?

I'm working on somthing right now that's basically an interactive portfolio in the guise of a game that would be perfect for the rift, it won't be done for QUITE some time as it's pretty experimental and im doing everything by myself. It's heavily inspired by the works of Tim Burton, although it is not immediately noticeable; that's all i've got for now. As you can see i've got some serious work to do.

I can't wait. The VR train keeps gaining speed, the future is looking great.

They look so unenthused.. I'd be shitting my pants.
I've had a wad of cash ready to spend on the consumer version for ages now. I refuse to buy the devkit... but the wait is killing me.
They look so unenthused.. I'd be shitting my pants.
That's not a lack of enthusiasm. That's the focus of trying to not shit their pants.
They look so unenthused.. I'd be shitting my pants.
Their expression seems like the one you get when you see something so amazing you just kind of stare with your eyes wide open and your mouth doesn't really know what shape to be in. I can't explain it, what was it called, flabbergasted? :v:
