Found a nice planet by a shop. I'm gonna build my faction base now.

Managed to build my ship into the middle of an asteroid field and a group of pirates. Luckily the core is far enough away that they don't attack. [IMG]http://i.imgur.com/7o9cR2Jh.jpg[/IMG]
Anybody else having trouble with Lifts? I somehow fucked one up, cause the platform won't go away. I had to transform it into a table.
The only space pirates that actually attack the cruise ships with other cruise ships.
Would be nice if pirates did not use ships that didn't have weapons or engines. Shouldn't be too hard to implement. The turret turned out to be bloody useless, the antimatter blasts would head everywhere except the target, and this'd worsen the closer I was. Had to chase it across a different sector when the docking module for it got blown off. It also has enough space in the middle for another, smaller generator.

One guy would dock to his turret slot, forget he was still on docking beam, left click to test the weapons and end up floating away. :v:

Apparently cloaking is so freaking taxing that having nothing but 64 of the game's most efficient generators STILL isn't enough to sustain it. [editline]4th May 2013[/editline] Like, I created a ship of nothing but 64 generators and a cloaking module - no hull, no cockpit, no thrusters, just generators - and it's not sustaining. I have nearly 1.6mil regen.
I think they never meant for cloaking to be a permanent thing, but I'm not sure how short-lived it is right now with the horror stories of it's draining-ness. :v:

The most efficient possible in the game.
It's safe to assume you literally cannot generate more energy per second with that setup considering it just so happens to be the max number a signed int can hold. Hell, you could probably make it smaller and still hit that number.
That particular design had 2.2billion regen approx. Schema used it to bugfix the game.

I love how at the start of V1 that if you had a massive like pretty much any of the ships from the last few pages you would get spammed with the Winner rating while now its all very normal :v:
The ridiculousness of shielding and power generators and the likes has thoroughly discouraged me from wanting to keep building much of anything.

Also going to dock turrets on it.
