Everything goes, if noone from your faction was on and your station was trashed, its on you for making it easy enough to find in the massive expanses of space. Bombed from outside your visible render distance? Invest in shields next time! 5. A more quality of life rule than anything, and you don't absolutely need to follow it, but if you're doing large ship battles (should there be any) try to contain it in the center of a sector and out of planets, as to prevent teleporting everywhere and making both the fight and the server a mess. I built my Stanford Torus station on the idea of having a sort of inter-faction hub before I realized that if I ever spawned it in MP it would just get shot to hell.

Ok, I plan on making a ship that's 1.6km long, but that'd be larger then a sector. Is their any real problems having ships that take up that kinda space?

Hopefully they will add extremely slow firing and slow-moving railguns that penetrate shields or rapid fire autoguns that do pitiful damage while also penetrating shields. First one should be capable of penetrating multiple layers (using damage overflow mechanics) while the other should allow small fighters to clip off armored hull to expose innards and more importantly power generator. Meanwhile, it would make sense for large (not huge to the point of taking up sectors and being able to store ships inside of itself) ships to require an outer energy connection used by smaller support ships and bots to provide power. Speaking of that, can't someone start sucking out your power out of your own turret, since those are always easiest to breach?

I guess that's too much for the game to handle. My ship doesn't even drop to the surface, it can hover any way it want on planets, but the planet tears, reappears on the ship, and the game crashes if I actually touch a planet. I have a less powerful PC and I don't even get those glitches on planets or massive ships. How old is your 670? That's a good card, I can't imagine it breaking down unless you've had it for a long time.
my friend is making a ship over 600 blocks long but he doesnt know about symmetry or even advanced build mode and he's assembling it block by block

Luckily I forgot to put KB missiles. The AI doesn't handle BB missiles yet. I haven't had a proper fight in ages because the Ai just swirls around me instead of opening fire.
I'm having such a hard time building this little in-ship bay I have because it's pitch dark inside and I can't possibly hope to light it since it's ~40x40 and probably close to 40 tall as well, really should add a like, lighten mode for when you're building. Toggleable of course.
