toot toot (argon titan stuff)
I didn't think anyone would make this cause the design has so many little details on it but that looks fantastic. Damn, that's the first track I ever heard when I first started playing X3:Reunion, makes me feel kinda nostalgic now.
Me and my brother just downloaded it, looking forward to some fun.

Damn, that's the first track I ever heard when I first started playing X3:Reunion, makes me feel kinda nostalgic now.
It's missing quite a lot of minor details and the engine housing looks very different, but since I was using the X3 Model Viewer as a reference I got pretty close also if I ram a ship hard enough it warps into the forward biodome [t]http://i.imgur.com/Csh4R7y.jpg[/t] It's physically impossible to dock the ship anywhere - the docking beam isn't long enough to each reach out of the hull. :v: [t]http://i.imgur.com/GoJtKTI.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/psNGOKd.jpg[/t]
I'd love joystick support for this game, and it still lacks some featurues like how you can only look in one direction when you're on the ship. Would also be cool if they implemented crew into the game aswell, wether AI or Player. Just imagine having a huge battlecruiser with like 6 weapons (which are not pointing straight forward as the game forces you to) that are manned by crew, shooting down incoming fighters from all sides. To be able to make a hangar this way and then have your friends work together with you as a crew by firing guns when on the move and then flying out with their small fighters, contained in your hangar.
also more X3 ships Argon Centaur, Argon Nova, and a Boron Mako [t]http://i.imgur.com/Cj11MkE.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/ByZuLhm.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/us6FJRX.jpg[/t] [editline]1st May 2013[/editline] My Katana doesn't like the Titan: [t]http://i.imgur.com/95fAPwV.jpg[/t] It refuses to collide (meaning it can't dock) until it's jammed all the way inside the ship, at which point it suddenly collides and begins to violently spaz, dropping everyone's FPS down to single digits until the game teleports it away :v:
Not as impressive as your shit, but I just finished my Assault Frigate!

We NEED shields to work on a shield/mass ratio. Some of the small ships look really awesome but they would be damn useless in a fight. :(
Also if anyone cant tell by my avatar, my name in-game is Nikola
Just wanted you all to appreciate this reference, since it's something most of you won't notice. In every single network message from the client to server or vice versa, there's one same byte. 0x2a in decimal it's 42. :v:
I'm sorry, what? I don't understand.
I'm sorry, what? I don't understand.
The developer has either one heck of an obsession or is putting hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy references everywhere. In the book(and movie) the number 42 represents The Answer to the Ultimate Question of Life, the Universe, and Everything. In every message sent by the game and the server, there's always the byte 0x2a which is 42. This is intentional since it's hardcoded. The default port of the server is 4242 and one of the game's error codes is -4242.

Time for daily (sort of) update number 5.
Honestly at this point the only way to one-up the big-ship builders would be to build a 1:1 Halo ringworld with working gravity.
I made a (nowhere near actual size, as that would be ridiculous) Vor'cha class Cruiser. Here you can see all of the weapons. Four cannons on one controller and four Bunker Buster missiles spread across two controllers. There are three cockpits. One in the front and two on the forward and aft tactical bridges. In true Star Trek fashion, the most vulnerable parts are the nacelles. I put all of the engines there with minimal shielding. It has a decent amount of shields and can sustain flight even with bursts of cannon fire. And at the end here a pirate decided to try sneaking up on me. A Bunker Buster volley took care of that.
Or a Ringworld ringworld, complete with the Fist of God I think if you made it a square instead of a ring you could pull it off as a space station.
spiral generator how do
Okay, my weapons aren't staying connected to their computers after exiting and coming back to the game. It's especially annoying because I have a shitload of non-connected weapons.
Or a Ringworld ringworld, complete with the Fist of God I think if you made it a square instead of a ring you could pull it off as a space station.
A real ringworld (not the gay halo ones) would be cool. Fist of God, different planet simulations, that one floating city or whatever. That shit was the bomb. Shame [sp]the ringworld did a hyperspace jump to somewhere else. I guess it was a good thing considering all the god damn races were fighting over it.[/sp] Spoilers for the ringworld series. If you read all 4 books (or at least the last one) go ahead. If you haven't, fucking read them. It's great.
Honestly at this point the only way to one-up the big-ship builders would be to build a 1:1 Halo ringworld with working gravity.
Already went over this in Wolly's server, but a Halo ring is 10,000km end to end. That's 10 million blocks from one side to the other.
How does this compare to Blockade Runner?
Is there anyway you can stop people from using your ship? Just had someone try and steal mine for no reason.
So, I have this But I can't turn the corners sideways to make it less blocky, any ideas?
Put the wedge next to the other wedge and do a corner?
Is there anyway you can stop people from using your ship? Just had someone try and steal mine for no reason.
Get a faction module, stick it on your ship and make sure you're in a faction. Then just press R on the module and the ship should become faction locked as far as I know.
Still waiting to see the progress on that Halcyon-class Cruiser from Polaco
Still working on it, Nothing that i'm proud of enough to show off yet though Also before I get farther, What scale are you guys using?
Get a faction module, stick it on your ship and make sure you're in a faction. Then just press R on the module and the ship should become faction locked as far as I know.
Can I just make my own personal faction for this to work with?
Put the wedge next to the other wedge and do a corner?
Thing is that corners don't turn that way. You can only have the square part down or up.
Can I just make my own personal faction for this to work with?
Yup [editline]2nd May 2013[/editline] I just tried to make a 1:1 Borg Cube, but the game doesn't do symmetry properly over large distances.. Kind of sucks.
