I am really happy how the rear part of the ship turned out (Design shamelessly stolen from The Mandate), not so happy about the front. Kudos.

I really hope some kind of turbolifts are on the charts somewhere - it's hard and time consuming to fit stairs into every single building, and ladders are kind of more suited to cramped ships. Additionally, it's hard to get off at specific decks with ladders because you can't look behind you for some reason while on them. Where can I report a bug? [editline]26th November 2013[/editline] Although, it's not really a bug - I'm not sure what it is. Around large structures, the game seems to slow down the physics? It's fine if the city ship is stationary, but the moment I try and turn it you get the lag, which explains why big ships turn so slowly even when they have enough gyros they should be zipping about. Framerate remains constant throughout this, it's just the game slowing down the physics to accommodate tens of thousands of blocks moving around. :v:
Yeah the physics gets a slower timescale the more there is. You'll notice you accelerate slower as well.

I wonder if I have any images of that, it's been a long damn time. [editline]26th November 2013[/editline] Speaking of large ships, just finishing my reactor core for my new ship: [img]http://i.imgur.com/KPvAqEu.jpg[/img] I wish we could make spinny parts in moving ships, but for now I at least have this.
Lobbing the large gravity generators at things causes a lot of nice looking damage. Also the generators explode on impact so wreckage doesn't build up quickly (apart from the vicitm ship's damage) [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/AQFQf8uh.jpg[/thumb][thumb]http://i.imgur.com/oBIJHYCh.jpg[/thumb][thumb]http://i.imgur.com/23UzHkkh.jpg[/thumb] [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/UXjuOcHh.jpg[/thumb][thumb]http://i.imgur.com/7IAKl6kh.jpg[/thumb][thumb]http://i.imgur.com/78NzyKsh.jpg[/thumb] [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/QxUB3TMh.jpg[/thumb][thumb]http://i.imgur.com/Sw2Hsplh.jpg[/thumb]

[QUOTE=Oscar Lima Echo;42996490]Some people have the most fucked up understanding of the word "simple".[/QUOTE] all moving parts use the same principles (thrusters + landing gear = moving bits), so once you get that down it's just a matter of changing the shape of the blocks into something usable. like, an elevator is just a funny-shaped hangar door
[QUOTE=Oscar Lima Echo;42996490]Some people have the most fucked up understanding of the word "simple".[/QUOTE]If you used landing gear with it you could have it on a moving ship as well.
Has there been an attempt to make an F-302 from stargate? [t]http://media.moddb.com/images/mods/1/9/8387/F-302.jpg[/t]
Them angles are awkward and it'd look terrible.
So the game decided to give me a buddy to build spaceships with [t]http://i.imgur.com/V5b1iXI.jpg[/t] Although he doesn't do much all the time (just sits there), it's still nice to have him. Guess I'll build around this oddly and temporary placed control panel to build another control room. I don't want to loose him :c And the best thing is - he is still there after I reload the world! :dance:
I would be terrified of that if such thing happened in my world.

Getting really tired of corrupt worlds Been playing for 2 hours building, saving religiously, then the game goes "nope you can't have this, go build another ship"

[QUOTE=Mastermind of42;42999302]Does copy & paste work on him?[/QUOTE] No, it's just empty after I paste it :(
[QUOTE=The Jack;42998115]Them angles are awkward and it'd look terrible.[/QUOTE] Its not the best image of it, some mod related. [t]http://th01.deviantart.net/fs71/PRE/f/2010/060/5/e/F_302_test_by_Davide_sd.jpg[/t] Now it looks less bloated.
Not going to work unless it's REALLY not to scale and much larger.
No. It seriously would look bad. A wraith hive ship would be easier. ( A wraith hive ship is larger than a city, organic and curvey.. so pretty difficult) I hope at some point a colourable organic tileset is released. Though first i think it'd be better if there was a 'dirty' hull set for more low end ships. Cramped, rusted, spooky, mildly hazardous...
im having lots of fun crashing ships then rebuilding them in a space mad max fashion
The need for thin/fin blocks is apparent.
Actually, I've been digging in the save files since, and I think I can recreate the astronaut model sitting in the cockpit. Looks pretty easy, it's just xml. [editline]27th November 2013[/editline] [B]HOLY SHIT YES. MY SHIP NOW HAS TWO PILOTS[/B] [t]http://i.imgur.com/RCN5vPJ.jpg[/t] [editline]27th November 2013[/editline] If anyone's interested, I could make a tutorial. It's really easy!
