This thread has dissolved to dick jokes in space. I'm just going to leave this here

Man I love building ships in this game.

As opposed to doing what else in the game? :v:

Wrecking ships.

Stations ?
As opposed to doing what else in the game? :v:
Building even smaller ships?
Speaking of stations how come sometimes I can put a block merged with the ground and sometimes not
When I'm trying to create a big floor that covers the entire top of an asteroid there are holes everywhere because sometimes it just won't let me put a block in that one position.

The weirdest part is how it seems so random, some blocks are placed with only a small corner sticking out of the ground, and blocks who would have only a couple of inches in the ground wont be placed, making everything look disorganized and ugly.

Resurface that shit.

Also, has anyone try absolutely and completely destroying an asteroid yet?

Ive destroyed small ones
are we still talking about rifles in space
because the gun's cartridge could be separated into two sections, one which fires a bullet forward and a backwards facing blank to counteract the recoil
it wouldn't look cool because you'd have to hold it above your shoulder, but it would work
you could also use computer-guided microrockets which ignite and pursue a target after being tossed
Why not just use old gyrojet weapons

Maybe, in future space infantry warfare, soldiers are trained to fire a sort of floating prone position that keeps the barrel inline with their center of gravity.

Gimmie a bit, I'm building a new one. It's bigger, stronger, smarter, safer, etc...

And it will have 30 drills, because I understand that is the limit.

Or have battery packs and shoulder-mounted industrial cutting lasers.
or have neither because the concept of space infantry is ridiculous.

the only real scenario i can think of where astronauts would have weapons is if they had a dispute, and they used improvised tools/guns stolen from a delivery meant for people on colonies. at a stretch i guess you could say that a few things a drone couldn't do on a battlefield would necessitate armed astronauts/engineers to do the job instead, but by the time we actually have space battles, that list of jobs would be rapidly shortening.

Now I just need to attach engines.

As long as there are two people alive, somebody is going to want somebody dead.
As long as there are two people alive, somebody is going to want somebody dead.
Might as well just send suicide drones crammed with explosives instead of people in fragile suits then
Or just send the sniper if you're going to quote him.
As long as there are two people alive, somebody is going to want somebody dead.
but it would be way more practical to just send an RCS block with a camera and assault rifle bolted onto it

That looks monstrous, in a good way.
