Something I just thought about. Has anyone tried to recreate the Von Braun yet?
It would be hard considering we only ever had a good side view of it and that had the UNN Rickenbacker attached to it. The 3D views were in low quality videos and such.
so what have they added in the past 2 months
because when i bought it it was lame as fuck

I think you made the wrong decision, all you do is complain about the game. We don't even know what you want, last time you said why you even bought the game.
I'm a little late to the wiremod discussion but yes I'd like to have wiremod-something in the game that is accessible to everyone and not require you to be a programmer nerd
cough e2 cough
I used wire a lot but what I really disliked is the messiness of it. The ships blocks already have "wires" inside of them so it would be silly to be manually routing cables for simple gates.
I would like to see some higher level control blocks that you configure with AI and link together via Id. Example:
Say there is a computer block. When you open the ui for it, you see a list of all the devices (organized in lists relative to their position to the computer would be nice) and other computer blocks. The computer block would be multipurpose like E2 but using gate diagrams rather than scripts. So basically wire inside of computer blocks that keep everything neat and organized.
Hey, maybe they can embed the super fast Logisim into the computer blocks. That would be pretty cool.

So with the addition of a working rifle, I've realised that not only can you shoot through the gaps in windows, but if you leave them unpainted, they actually look like concrete bunkers.
Window grates: Successfully weaponized.
i think the best part of this game so far is that every single tiny thing added to it completely revolutionizes the things people build. they only added landing gear, and from that we've got missiles, doors, drilling platforms, elevators, and basically any moving part you can imagine. and now with adjustable motors we've got semi-automatic railguns, more practical doors, paddles, loading devices. and automated systems upon systems of moving parts.
at this point they could add the color pink and it would be like the fucking industrial revolution.
speaking of landing gears, how do I use their sliding abilities? Every moving part I saw uses landing gears for some reason, what are the benefits?
I bought this game recently, but I seem to have a problem building.
Is there a way to bring myself to a complete stop? Whenever I try to shift my view or move about I can't seem to stop myself.
If there isn't a way to do that, is there a way to build more easily?

Well first, don't bump into what you are building
Second, if you deactivate your jetpack, that might be your problem, reactivate it
Otherwise I don't know what you are talking about.

Could you please tell them I vehemently disapprove of the current debris culling? It's too overzealous - the rocks are gone so quickly you haven't even seen them yet, let alone had performance issues. The performance issues were far more to do with rocks having sustained collision with each other in large groups than to do with the numeracy of the rocks.
My suggestion is that they make it so rocks can no longer inter-collide with each other, and the only thing governing their removal is the number of rocks already in the universe. Every time a new rock is created and the maximum is reached, the oldest one is destroyed. The maximum number of persistent debris can be a slider in the options menu, so people running toasters can have it at 20 while people who can handle it have it at 2000.

Unlike armour, they don't get damaged in low speed collisions.

this
easy way to add loadsa debris: remove their shadow casting and collision (or maybe, a square box for a collision model? or even just a dot? I wish I could experiment with that)
Do the rocks even serve a purpose? I mean, yes, realistically if you drill away an asteroid you should have a lot of debris left over. But what do you do with all the rocks? Hopefully there will eventually be something useful to do with them, but I mean right now. Right now, what do we need a lot of rocks for? I'm not trying to be condescending or anything, I'm just really curious what people are doing with them (aside from use as projectiles, because I get enough collected in my drills for that), because they just annoy me so maybe I'm totally missing something.

I would also really like it if an expanded function of the storage containers was that they would pick up whatever collides with their door. That way you could feed hundreds of rocks directly into one in a single automated process.

Same reason anyone wants anything aesthetic. It feels like shit and that things aren't reacting right.
I mean think about it this way; you send a drill the size of the Burj Khalifa into an asteroid.
You expect the entire thing to almost crack from the impact alone.
Instead you get: five pebbles.
I would also really like it if an expanded function of the storage containers was that they would pick up whatever collides with their door.
Personally speaking, I'd prefer to see a hopper added for that function, and connected to the storage container, rather than it being a function of the container. But yeah, either way, some method of collecting shit and putting it in the box is needed.
Same reason anyone wants anything aesthetic.
It's more than aesthetic to me, I want to see it expanded into a gameplay mechanic. If gravity generators are temporary, there can just be some form of ore tractor that serves a similar purpose.

Or that. A hopper you attach to the door, even.

Throw them at people?
EDIT: NVM, I'm dumb and didn't read thoroughly enough to see you mentioned using it as projectiles. D'oh!
It's more than aesthetic to me, I want to see it expanded into a gameplay mechanic.
That. I'm not as worried about aesthetics. I want an actual reason to collect rocks. Otherwise they're just hitting my fps for little to no benefit.

Like MacGyver, but in space!!; and instead of no weapons, everything's a weapon; and no awesome mullet... Okay, not so much like MacGyver. Never mind.

i think if you did what some builders are doing and build the missile as a capsule with a rock in it, but then also put a bomb block inside of the capsule, it could have some really good armor piercing capabilities.
the current design makes it so that the rock flies through the front of the capsule once it hits the target, then cuts through the enemy ship, ruining everything it hits using the momentum of the capsule - if you made it so that a bomb on the inside is delayed and floats out after the rock, you could just punch right through basically any armor, AND explode everything inside of the ship right afterwards.

oh man I'm going to use that picture so much on the official forums.
When ever someone asks for a feature or object of convenience. For example when people ask they want an 'escape pod' then can spawn in. No you plebs, the entire point of the game is that you're supposed to make one out of the lego parts you get already.
Because, thats the game.
weaponized escape pods, quake 2 stylin
I'd at least want some kind of Solid-rocket-booster that I can attach to things. Just so escape pods can actually explode out of the bay and not just slowly putt their way to safety.
