I made a new heavy bomber/torpedo launcher. I call it the Enforcer. Uncreative I know, but god damn will this thing fuck you. From the opening of the hangar bay forward is [I]solid heavy armor.[/I] This thing will ram the shit out of you and be happy about it, after bombing you back to your mothers womb.

I kinda wish missiles had less insta-destroy and instead balanced out with.. force? I want to see chunks of ship spinning away from the impact site, not the fake debris that vanishes, but actual bits of block.

Unrelated, I think chainguns are pretty perfect at the moment, but missiles are broken again because they seem to be unable to destroy components.

that's fine with me. that way I have to actually focus my fire and chew off the pieces that contain engines and reactors and stuff, instead of just railing the engines.
Also, because of how flimsy armor is, I think they will add a hull block somewhere down the line.

I know, but it feels a bit odd you can shoot a missile directly into a reactor and have nothing happen.
What about having DIRECT missile hits destroy components, but not splash damage?
This could later be improved further, eg, the more damaged a component gets the less energy it puts out/the more likely it is to overload and explode, or the less thrust a thruster puts out etc.
Just add sparks for realism.

well I don't know if you guys know this, but that's in game already, minus the v-effects. At least for small boats. If you shoot at a small thruster, it will turn off. If you shoot at the reactors or gyros, they will turn off.
Also, I noticed they fixed rocket launchers exploding when too close.
