I have a ship, I just want somewhere to take it now.
This site is great for inspiration for ship designs, even if you don't try to follow them exactly: http://www.merzo.net/
I originally started with this as my reference:

And I ended up with this monster:

And damn is it my favorite ship, especially with it's interior.
You were inspired by a Cardasian Freighter, got to love Deep Space Nine
not only that, you will soon be able to build a square of blocks rather than a line, can't wait for that!!
They can take as much time with the multiplayer as they need imo. Id rather it be functioning decently than it be a buggy clusterfuck.

in addition to that. Space engineers is turning out to become everything i ever wanted in a game. I couldnt believe my eyes when i had my first look at it and its upcoming/current features. Bless the developers souls. maybe im overreacting but it really is a dream come true.

Wait what? How?
I must have missed an update because last time I played I could only do a line, even with simmetry on.

It's probably worth mentioning I'll be in another country for a couple of weeks, so you'll have to wait to see the ship dissector in motion.
Control and Shift at the same time.
I'm really waiting for an update that lets us change those keys
Control is supposed to be crouch god damnit

Treat it like a desktop application. You use Shift and Control for different kinds of selection.

Well it makes you/your ship fly down, so I'd say it's pretty useful

but C feels so much more accessible, i hate having to use my pinky to press ctrl

I feel that C is a lot more inaccessible again, but that's just me. need to be able to make binds!
You know what I like about warheads/rockets being unable to destroy non-armor blocks for some reason?

Debris.
However they still lack the destroyed and charred look.
i kind of dig the lack of charring, the clean look fits the game's art style IMO

Charred and destroyed debris are in the game already (though they disappear after a second for probably alpha reasons), so it's not an artstyle question.

Weird thing I noticed about SE's physics. If a thing is spinning, and you take a smaller thing off it, it starts to spin with the same rotational speed, while it should be flying away.

we really need a static braking effect to the game, eve style, just for the sake of slowing down debris so we can have massive, hulking carcasses menacingly floating above a base for all time, or something
That would be atmospheric as fuck <3
What I predict the next few updates will be:
Going from weekly updates, (1 would be first week, 3 would be third week, etc.)
1. Sound Update (sound effects)
2. Survival
3. Something that probably includes technology (conveyors, maybe?)
4. Multi-player
working doors will probably be included in one of those

That is in place for rocks you mine, I fell off my base a few days ago and noticed thousands of tiny rocks just sitting there, was eerie looking. Ended up making a big ol' gravity scoop and picked them all up.

This, and toggleable as always, so everyone is happy.
I hope they increase the value you can turn the breaking torque up to. Right now whenever my ship takes turns the hanger doors swing open even with maxed out breaking torque applied to them.

use landing gear to lock them down when moving, not ideal but eh v:v:v
