I saw you hit the windows and I was "lol he was no clue where the bridge is"
I had no clue I just flew into the first thing that looked important because I was so laggy and had to make a split decision of what to hit.

It was funny because shortly after that I disabled the inertia stabilizers and ran down to the emergency bunker bridge. Right then bob starts tearing the entire top bridge off like a damn buzzsaw. In the end I kept the one remaining reverse thruster and upwards thruster pegged and eventually escaped him.

Any escape pods should be optimized for maximum reverse thruster power with guns facing the same way, you are escaping after all and if you cant shoot pursuers with the guns they are pointless anyways. Like I said, it morphed into a fighter at some point, and in any case i'd hate to navigate backwards, even if it is just an escape pod.
New ship that I have been working on the last couple of days. Her hull is pretty much done but I still have a lot of internal sections I need to fill up in her forward sections as well as having a look over the reactor bay.

blocky, but there's something really nice about how it looks. maybe it's the simplicity

I'd add a zig zag pattern on the sides, to make it look all structural and shit

This is the part I started building and then wasn't so certain about afterwards. It looked a bit too bulky for my tastes, but I edited it a bit and it looks better than before.

The only interior shot I'd really care to show (because it doesn't look terrible). The blue light is supposed to be like Cherenkov radiation, I guess. That's probably not a good thing to have, though.

I have no idea how the whole thing would fare in a fight. I made a copy and used it for missile testing and it was basically shredded. The turrets it's coated with might deter small craft, though, depending on what the devs implement in that regard.
That profile shot makes it look a bit like a Hiigaran destroyer.

In that last shot I initialy thought the camera was shooting up an elevator shaft.
It'd look better if you went for less white light and instead went for either Yellow or blue for that warm/ominous feel. White's too sterile. Maybe some red lights would be good too.
fun fact: if you can see Cherenkov radiation, you've already been given a lethal dose of it

Cherenkov radiation would be a cool feature.
It is Space [I]Engineers[/I] afterall and Engineers have to find solutions to problems.

[QUOTE=Mr.Rook;43585779]Maybe when they get damaged?[/QUOTE]Presumably, if the reactor is damaged to the point that the coolant fluid is exposed to vacuum and thus visible, it'd probably instantly vaporise in the sudden lack of pressure and immediately force itself out of the reactor, meaning the reactor is on the verge of imminent failure and there'd be no medium for Cherenkov radiation to be produced in.
It'd look cool if there was some visible indication that the reactors are radioactive, but i'd rather the devs focus on other things. In any case, it can be suitably simulated with coloured lights.

heavy armor block?[/QUOTE]Yeah; all the heavy blocks have that sort of digi-camo look. I'm guessing the devs forgot to replace that block with light armour.
But that's recently appeared, my older saves don't have that on them.
That's odd.
I only noticed it recently on the default fighter, but I simply assumed it had always been there and I didn't notice.
Made a few changes to my ship and added the pieces coming off the middle of the ship.
