Oldquote I took a look at the credits. Thats all there is sadly, if you onto the localization page, you can see there's alot more people, gon.gged is the only Spanish translater on there, although eh, I guess he earned it translating 780 strings
And I thought only moderators were added. That's nice
I've never had 6DOF sickness, and I play games like Shattered Horizon, Strike Vector, Corneroids, etc all the time
If you play in it enough then you'll get past it pretty quickly.
I've literally never experienced 6DoF sickness. I just stop thinking about orientation in terms of up or down - up or down can be wherever I want it to be. That being said my housemate came in for a chat earlier while I was playing and had to sit down and close her eyes when I did a little manoeuvre to get at some blocks better.
I beat disorientation by using recognizable spacemarks to define a "down", and try to stick to it. That's mostly why I switched the stock backround. Also because it's really, really ugly.
Still not seeing where the Devs have said we won't get glass windows, aside from one post on the official forums by someone who claims to have spoken with a dev with no real proof. Can you show me something to add substance to the rumor?
If I recall correctly that post was from RedPhoenix, who is a moderator and pretty much the tester's liaison between devs and the tester group, so I imagine his information is rather trust worthy.
My first WIP heavy cruiser:
The game has randomly bugging out at the moment for me when I crash ships together. When I try to reverse them out of each other after they decided to merge instead of damaging each other, all ships affected just stop moving even though the game is registering move speed on the hud. If exit the ship's cockpit I cannot move either even though the game says I am moving. This bug seems to persist until I restart the game.
this game I swear to god
If I recall correctly that post was from RedPhoenix, who is a moderator and pretty much the tester's liaison between devs and the tester group, so I imagine his information is rather trust worthy.
So... Tell me then, how is glass functionally different from the slatted windows we have now? They don't bug out the occlusion culling, why would a transparent/translucent form? Nothing about that argument makes any sense. At all. If you have a link to the post, I'd like to see it.

If you have a link to the post, I'd like to see it.
I don't have a link to the post on hand right now, but I suspect the engine doesn't have occlusion culling through transparency coded in right now, it likely only works when there are physical holes through blocks for whatever reason, and something about the engine design makes it extremely difficult to change that. Frankly I can't pretend to know much more than that, but it does appear that transparency is at the very least not a feature planned for the near future.
here have a screaming asteroid to cheer you up
It looks more surprised. "OH WHAT IS THAT?" Also, its weird, I get disoriented playing this game, but I'm fine playing Strike Vector, and that shit is like spaghetti helicopter
Official engineer's guide to elimination of vibrational modes in a Space Engineers Build Environment Abstract: In the construction of a four bar mechanism, destructive self-perpetuating vibrational modes were discovered which created oscillation resulting in the destruction of the mechanism and surrounding structure. Reinforcement of the mechanism proper was performed in order to obtain desired operation. The elimination of oscillatory motion was successful. Introduction: The initial construction of the four bar mechanism was mechanically sound, but due to inaccuracies in the physical simulation of the Space Engineers Build Environment as a result of lack of computing resources, mysterious destructive oscillations were observed in the functioning of the mechanism, eventually leading to failure. Due to the rotor's inability to constrain motion properly in axis separate from its primary free axis of rotation, the rotor's state as a 1 degree of freedom joint was compromised, causing excessive degrees of freedom in the four bar mechanism leading to structural failure. Methods and Materials: The material available for construction in this Space Engineers Build Environment is as follows: Block Rotor Landing Gear The method followed in order to reinforce the mechanism is as follows: 1. Attach more rotors and landing gears 2. Does it still vibrate? 3. Yes: Go to Step 1 No: Go to Step 1 Maybe?: Go to Step 1 Results: After significant application of rotors and landing gears, preliminary results indicate the elimination of unwanted vibrational modes. Discussion: The design could likely be improved with further addition of rotors and landing gears, and increasing the quantity of rotors and landing gears is to be taken into consideration in future designs. Conclusion: When in doubt, add more landing gears and rotors. Shit totally works yo. i would love to see a video of how that mechanism is built

But does it have cup holders?
Still not as heavy as a '71 Eldorado.

that looks badarse
What Update? Did I miss something? I don't play often.
There was a huge update that added a lot of weapons and stuff.

Can I test my torpedo's on it?
Nice. Can I test my torpedo's on it?
Ill put it up on workshop after class when I can finish the interior
sometimes, I really love the missile lag. It makes dogfights online soooo much more intense. -Flying around in extremely maneuverable fighter -Spot enemy fighter -Line up lasers on his hull -Fire guns -He fires missiles -Game slows down -Missiles creep for me as I try to dodge them -Missiles nail my lower half as my reactors blow from gunfire -Spinning off into space as the game speeds up again. fuck yes.
Here's a thing I built in about an hour and a half. Full interior (but small), handles like a drunken pregnant whale (you're basically fucked if you start sliding sideways, in particular :v:) but imo looks nice enough to show. http://imgur.com/a/mUwkw I would show a pic of the aftermath of it colliding with an asteroid, but no matter how many reverse thrusters I added, I couldn't get it off the asteroid afterwards.
