IN SPACE.
Just like on my steshuns.
there we go
the republic fleet chocolate factory is coming together

bottom half is still just the bones
stuff looks so much better with those new colors
Wait, so all that hype and bullshit was for...custom block colors? Seriously?
was it really necessary to remove ladder blocks?
They were crap anyways

This is my current pride and joy, the Exhibition-Class Heavy Frigate Belladonna

This reactor room has to be one of my favorites, especially when the lights actually spin.

This is one of two sickbays, this one being the aft sickbay.

For the bridge, I tried to go for a "cramped" feel, with the stations being so close together.

The crew quarters are nothing special, just more practical-feeling than the one on the Tempered Arrogance.
The Belladonna started out as a small project, with the Tempered being the big thing I was working on. I wanted a ship with a nice interior that made it feel like a ship. I've never really been able to do that until now. The corridors are not as open, there are more rooms, and it generally feels bigger than most ships I've made.

tbh i think more climbable stuff would be pretty nice just as a general mobility option + aesthetic purposes. like trusses and stuff like that
[editline]17th February[/editline]
just to make stuff look a bit more functional (and structural support purposes too i guess)
I've been waiting ages for adjustable grav gens so woo :v:
Also, you all did a HORRIBLE job with the leaks. You picked GREEN. The EXACT SAME SHADE of green that's in the base game. How were we supposed to see that?

rgb block colouring confirmed
owned
actually guys if you do some tricky stuff with grav gens you can just make hallways that happen to run vertically.
Literally all you had to do was to analyze two pictures side by side. If that was too complicated, I'm sorry.
I'm coloorblind you dick.
I always end up building ribbed skeleton ships...
I need to learn spaceshippy.

I don't know. If the game ever allowed the player to move around gravityless ships by kicking of the walls and pulling yourself along it'd be pretty good. Or maybe the player just wants to make a less loopy ship only one gravitational direction.
It'd be cool if gravity could effect OTHER ships though (do they already? I haven't realy experimented). especialy if the player could change gravity levels (from 'ten foot high hops' to 'bonecrushing mode'. Maybe a repulsive 'fly the fuck away mode too). But it'd be realy delicious to just make a huge ship, put a maw of drills at the front and all sucking gravgens behind them.

Gravity generators are the devs' way around having to design a method of pushing and kicking your way around gravityless ships, as far as I know. Perhaps they'll do it some day, and I'm with you, that'd be really really cool (and if done well enough, gravity generators could be made to consume shitloads of power so as to make them more rare), but I think it's something the devs don't really want to approach at the moment. If they did it, though, it'd be the only game I know of in existence to do so.

Well, they could add magnetic boots, which would be extremely useful and really easy to implement, and some kind of grappling hook, which would be useful for mining and boarding ships, but I don't know if it'd be an easy thing to make
am I right in thinking the grav gens project a rectangular prism now instead of a sphere?

That's pretty cool, thanks for linking. I like the future potential for gravity affecting more types of objects, as well as knowing they tried a spherical gravitational field but didn't keep it because it didn't work for ships. (I still think it would be nice to have, but as an alternate gravity mode - say for example you wanted to use it for mining.)
the blue stock ship is broke for me. a huge chunk of it is missing out of the rear part, in front of the cockpit.

Stop throwing so much ordnance around.
:v: obviously i mean in a new world.

where the living fuck does space engineers save screenshots? I can't fucking find them. and the se wiki is useless and is very obviously the fucking warframe wiki copy pasted.

F12 goes to Steam screenshots. Much easier to find.

Wormholes.
And although this is off-topic, I once came up with the idea of a gun that fires into wormholes. If the momentum of the bullet was preserved and you could control both the location and direction of the wormhole, you'd then have a gun that can fire at a target on the far side of the galaxy.
I then proceeded to write said weapon into one of my lore-pieces. Sci-fi writer's Ouroboros.

for some reason it looks like you have a space in screenshots until I quote it, Strange.

It's something facepunch does to break up long strings of text, this pertains especially to hyperlinks.

it doesn't work for me in se for some reason. I mash the fuck out of it all the time but have to resort to alt+prt scrn.

I bought se for my friend last night and was showing it to him, and then this:

Right now there is a 33% discount on Steam for Space Engineers.
However this is a messed up by Valve because we wanted to do this more controlled and at a much later date.
Soo. Get it while you can!

If your ship had ladder blocks in it, after the last update they got replaced to turrets, for some reason.

block IDs changing and such
Wait, what - I thought ladder blocks became "passage" blocks?
If not then all my ships just broke. :v:
