Made a shitty video for the Halo construct I made a while back;
Welp, my computer got dicked and windows decided to delete everything off my backup drive as well. Ive got recuva running on it, but it looks like im not gonna get much back. If so, my only two ships are the two i put up on the workshop, the ulysses and fat man. This could very well be the end of the blue moon fleet. Rip in pieces, all my beautiful ships.
That Pelican though.

The first planet in space engineers has been uploaded to the steam workshop, made by me and CJay: Link: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=235360678 Without CJay this would not be possible.
...How?
80% of the work was done by CJay that reverse engineered the voxel file format and wrote an importer for it. The planet was a big hollow ball model with a small hole in the side which was then imported to become the asteroid, or planet in SE. Thats from the description
...How?
so you're saying that i could import a model of a spaceship as an asteroid and watch people attempt to ram it

Recuva got all the old files off the drive, but some files were corrupted, about half got the filenames mixed up, and none of them were in any of their folders. Every single file on my drive in one fuckhuge folder. I was able to find all of the .sbs and .xmlcache files from the space engineers saves, but without their folders they wont work. I might be able to pull the ships out with space editor after I do 3 days of homework, go to work, and sort through 70,000 image files to find my pictures. woo.
It's been a while since i've played this. Cool that people have found ways to import stuff like that into the game. I was in luck. I found one that got 99% of my data back, uncorrupted. THE BLUE MOON FLEET LIIIIIIVES
I guess you already did this, but throw your saves on some cloud service (i.e. dropbox) and you'll have your ships forever.
Most people will most probably run away because Razer is too mainstream and bleugh but I got an email from them about some cloud service thing specifically for storing save games. Some people may want to look into it.

I don't know what you meant by Razer, and dropbox is garbage. Mega (mega.co.nz), the successor by Kim Dotcom to the deceased megaupload, now has a dropbox-like app for bunches of cloud storage.

It's sharing isn't as solid as Dropbox either, I've tried using it to share files with groupmates or post pictures on FP and it never works.. As it stands, I've never been able to actually properly download a file from them.

It's pretty heavy so it has a lot of engines to make it go, the ram on it is brutal but it sometimes drags the halves of whatever you hit along the sides and tears it up. It's got a ventral docking bay with a spacious hangar, complete with catwalks, and the bridge is hidden amongst the heavy armor near the bow. There's an inaccessible false bridge on the top, which my brother suggested. And police lights. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=236263876 e; Here are a couple more pictures showing off how mean this thing looks. There are a couple mod parts on it in these pictures. [t]http://i.imgur.com/sKlPAoE.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/CgjMxBI.jpg[/t]
good news peeps I'm making spaceships based off famous forum members/things so far I have the tropsical,,, light fighter and the Craptasket cruiser next up is the orkel APC and the 'rust subforums' space station pics semi-soon
The Tropsical ship had better be a giant ice pop.
Tropsical can't be a fuckin fighter he's too nice
[img_thumb]http://mars.takeonthegame.com/assets/img/post_images/tkom_expeditionone_screenshot_03.jpg[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://mars.takeonthegame.com/assets/img/post_images/tkom_expeditionone_screenshot_01.jpg[/img_thumb] After looking at those TOM screenshots I think some similar block set for SE wouldn't hurt, especially for base building. 2.5m thick metal blocks sure are cool but building small bases with them, especially when survival releases, doesn't look really plausible. They could use less resources too (but have little to no protection)
you just made me realize how dead looking the light and textures of SE are [editline]9th March 2014[/editline] it makes me want to jump into a star
